David Poole is an award winning writer, director and visual artist. His films have been funded and broadcast by the BBC, screened at the BFI and premiered at BAFTA.
After winning the BBC Blast Comedy Bursary award 2008-9 and a BBC2 broadcast slot for his film "Sensitivity", David was awarded a budget and mentoring to create an additional short for the BBC. "The Interviewee" was televised in November 2009 and was nominated for two Royal Television Society Midlands Awards in 2010 (Best Short Film, Best New Talent). His writing has been showcased on the stage and his video installation artwork has exhibited widely throughout the UK, including at Selfridges department stores, and been commissioned by organizations including the world's leading property consultancy CBRE.
David has participated in intensive talent labs with prestigious organizations including Directors UK, the London Screenwriters' Festival and The Producers' Forum. Most recently he was selected for the 2016 London Screenwriters' Festival Talent Campus 2.0 initiative, an intensive screenwriting and career development course with industry mentoring, and Foot Up, a professional development program to improve UK talent. He is developing a slate of science fiction feature projects generating significant interest from independent producers.
