Richard was born in Sydney on the 2nd of March 1971. His family moved
to Nords Wharf, NSW, when he was 4 years old where his family ran a boat hire business.
At 17 he attended Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga where he
graduated with a degree in Television and Sound Engineering (B.A.T.S).
After stints as a Theatre Lighting Director, Sound Engineer, Stage
Manager and even Ski Instructor, Richard began his career in the
Television Industry where he has been working for over 30 years. He has
worked extensively in Australia and also the U.K, South Africa,
Malaysia and Canada. From World Cup Cricket to Olympic Games Richard
has been involved either as a Director or Vision Mixer in some of the
highest rating events in Television. In 2018, Richard began working at La Trobe University
where he is a casual academic in the Media and Communications department.
Richard continues to work as a freelance Director and Vision Mixer in Melbourne Australia
where he lives with his wife, son and daughter.
