Slipknot's Corey Taylor To Be Honored At Rock To Recovery 2 Benefit Concert

Slipknot's Corey Taylor will be honored at the Rock To Recovery 2 benefit concert on September 16 at Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.

Video: Rock to Recovery 2 - Sat. Sept 16th - Concert/Fundraiser - Sizzle Reel

Founded by Korn guitarist Wesley Geer, Rock To Recovery was created to help soothe the restless souls of those in recovery. They do this by creating a “band” and writing and recording songs together with Rock to Recovery’s staff of professional musicians, who are also in recovery. They help bring fun into treatment and recovery by offering a natural escape from the fear-based mind. This helps people grow a sense of belonging and self esteem. They help to vent emotions by writing lyrics and singing together for release, in real-time. They tie in a positive theme of hope in recovery throughout the whole process. When the session is done, “band” members feel a new

Rock’s Weirdest Feud: Slipknot Vs Nickelback
“Are we having fun yet?” Chad Kroeger, the lead singer of Nickelback, certainly isn’t, and neither is Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor. The two rockers have gotten themselves wrapped up in a battle of unkind words. The bizarre feud started last week when Kroeger made fun of Slipknot’s signature look in an interview with Metal Covenant, via NY Daily News. (The Iowan metal band performs in spiky black jumpsuits and creepy masks, a la Jigsaw or Jason Voorhees.) Kroeger reportedly said, “They had to put on masks and jump around. How good can your music be if you’ve gotta beat each other up.

Review: Ultra-Violent Officer Downe (L.A. Film Festival 2016)

Outrageous, ultra-violent, and sleazy as hell, Officer Downe is the kind of movie made for midnight screenings and intended for audiences in the right mindset to see some deranged and psychotic nonsense.

What if you could resurrect RoboCop as many times as you wanted? That’s the simplified premise of this movie, which follows an L.A. super cop (Sons of Anarchy’s Kim Coates) who’s killed in the line of duty and brought back to life to continue his never-ending rampage against crime. Based on a comic and directed by Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan, everything about Officer Downe is aggressive, in your face, and over the top. It’s all sex, drugs, rock ’n roll, and exploding heads, relentlessly blowing up traditional expectations about narrative structure and gleefully charging over the line of good taste.

The film opens with Downe going down on a busty blonde, and

Sharknado 4 Trailer Has Strippers Fighting Sharks in Las Vegas

Sharknado 4 Trailer Has Strippers Fighting Sharks in Las Vegas
After invading both the West and East Coasts in the first three movies, the Sharknado sensation is heading to the Las Vegas desert in Sharknado: The 4th Awakens. Last month, Syfy took advantage of Star Wars Day (May 4) to debut a new, yet very familiar poster for this sequel, which spoofed last year's blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With just under two months left until this sequel debuts, the network has debuted a new trailer, which shows how some of Sin City's finest strippers and Elvis impersonators defend themselves from this onslaught of sharks.

Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and April Wexler (Tara Reid) reprise their roles from the first three Sharknado movies, with Gary Busey signing on to play April's father. Sharknado: The 4th Awakens takes place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in last summer's Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!. Fin (Ziering

First Teaser For Sharknado: The 4th Awakens Is As Nutty As You’d Expect

With a premiere slated for July 31, Syfy has today unleashed the bonkers first teaser for Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, sending a sea of airborne sharks barreling down on Las Vegas.

Thrust into the eye of that storm is Ian Ziering’s appropriately named Fin, who tees up a family break to Sin City that quickly descends into chaos when the shit starts to hit the fan – to put it mildly. Even for such a short teaser and in true Sharknado fashion, the snippet below crams in a fair amount of jaw-dropping scenes, including a stripper literally crotch-thrusting a shark to kingdom come and, in keeping with the spirit of Las Vegas, an Elvis impersonator caught amid the action.
