Slipknot will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their classic 1999 self-titled album with a Summer 2024 North American tour. The masked metallers have also confirmed that former Sepultura stickman Eloy Casagrande is their new drummer.

The “Here Comes the Pain” tour will feature Knocked Loose as direct support on the entire run, while Orbit Culture and Vended (featuring the sons of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Clown) will split opening duties on the two-leg outing.

The first leg kicks off August 6th in Noblesville, Indiana, and runs through an August 17th show in Toronto. The second leg launches September 7th in Auburn, Washington, and wraps up with the recently announced Knotfest Iowa festival on September 21st in Slipknot’s hometown of Des Moines.

Soundgarden was scheduled to headline the musical event before the rocker's unexpected death on Wednesday night. Instead, fans were treated to a special tribute in honor of Cornell during the band's designated slot.

The tribute began with two side monitors showing a photo of Cornell singing onstage, with two animated candles on each side as "Hallelujah" played. The screens then showed a video of the singer performing a cover of John Lennon's "Imagine," followed by a photo montage of Cornell, as his voice blared through the stadium.

A video tribute was also shown and later shared on the festival's Facebook page.

With a premiere slated for July 31, Syfy has today unleashed the bonkers first teaser for Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, sending a sea of airborne sharks barreling down on Las Vegas.

Thrust into the eye of that storm is Ian Ziering’s appropriately named Fin, who tees up a family break to Sin City that quickly descends into chaos when the shit starts to hit the fan – to put it mildly. Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor will be joining the cult-hit TV series Doctor Who in a unique way, providing the monstrous scream of a new alien warlord called Fisher King, according to the BBC.

"We needed an awesome roar for the Fisher King," Doctor Who producer Derek Ritchie told the British news network. "We asked Corey if he might like to do the honors. He was completely up for it. ...
