Amira Daoudi lives and works in Brussels. It's in this tangled world of identities that Amira Daoudi, graphic designer and art director who was formed at the Royal Saint Lukas School of Arts, specialized in the creation of film posters. The first poster design she made was to visually support "Little Baby Jesus of Flanders", the debut motion picture of good friend and now internationally acclaimed director Gust Van den Berghe. The movie was selected for the International Film Festival of Cannes in 2010 and it kick-started the careers of these two friends, launching them as emerging Belgian talent in their own fields. Soon after, Amira Daoudi developed the artwork for Academy Award Nominee 'Bullhead'.
As from that moment Amira Daoudi has been regarded as one of Belgium's most important art directors, designing movie posters for a very diverse group of directors including national and international productions.
For Ms. Daoudi, the creation of a poster is "a work of passion". She says she loves to experiment and find a way to distill the film's atmosphere, aesthetics, story and message along with all the other elements into a single image.
Amira Daoudi leads her own international creative communication company, launched under the name, Studio Daoudi. In 2015 her first solo exhibition 'From Film To Poster' took place and in the same year she released a graphic novel.
