Roman Shumunov is an award-winning Israeli film director, screenwriter, and editor, known for his exceptional work in TV and cinema projects across different genres.
In 2016, Shumunov gained recognition for his documentary "Babylon Dreamers," which opened the International Documentary Film Festival Docaviv and won first prize. He was also recognized as the most promising young director at the festival. In 2018, he directed the full-length social drama "Here and Now," which won the Ophir Award (Israeli Oscar) for Best Music, as well as Best Screenplay and Best Film awards.

Shumunov's latest works include the 4-episode series "Memory Forest" (2022), which was filmed in Poland and follows a group of teens on a trip to concentration camps to learn about the history of WWII.
