Annika Young is the Vice President of Production for The Content Farm, overseeing all projects logistically and creatively. An award-winning documentary producer and production manager, Annika began her television career as a Production Assistant with Atlanta's NBC news affiliate, WXIA-TV, where she went on to serve as Associate Producer. Annika was then recruited by CNN, where, over the course of five years, she progressed from associate producer, to writer, segment producer and field producer, and in 2008 produced her first documentary, Daughters of Legacy. After 11 years of journalism, Annika left news to curate and produce creative and diverse television and media content.
In her current role she has produced commercials, pilots, multi-media projects and traditional television, and her video production skill-set ranges from development, to budgeting, to directing to supervising post -- and everything in between. She has been liaison between the White House and production services units for over 10 episodes of the PBS tent-pole, In Performance at the White House, and performed similar functions for the PBS NewsHour, including working directly for Hillary Clinton during a 2016 debate. While with The Content Farm, Annika has served as Producer & Production Manager for the award-winning music variety series, Live at 9:30, and is also a producer of The New American Dreamers and Above the Strand, both making their debut on PBS and Amazon Prime in early 2017. In addition, Annika works on many of the projects The Content Farm has in development, and is a creator of Thorns and I'll Drink to That.
