Director, editor, and screenwriter, he premiered the vampire short film The Leeches (Sanguijuelas), which won Best Mexican Short Film at the Macabro Horror Film Festival in Mexico City and Best Cinematography. It was also an official selection at San Diego Comic-Con, the world's largest pop culture convention, as part of its Independent Film Showcase.
He later created "Devastation", a post-apocalyptic zombie medium-length film showcased at the San Diego Latino Film Festival, Morbido Festival in Mexico City, and the Independent Film Selection at Comic-Con, generating positive feedback from George A. Romero during its work-in-progress phase.
He co-produced the black comedy short film Hunger, which won post-production support from Mexico's National Institute of Film and premiered in competition at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG). He also received a grant to write his first feature-length screenplay.
After studying directing with Luis Mandoki (Innocent Voices) and Amat Escalante (Heli, The Untamed), he directed and co-wrote a horror-western short film based on the Tijuana legend of "Juan Soldado." This was included in the anthology México Bárbaro II, featuring stories rooted in Mexican legends and traditions. The film earned international acclaim at festivals like Sitges in Catalonia, Mar Del Plata in Argentina, and Fantasporto in Portugal. It was released in Europe by RawSide Entertainment and in the United States by Unearthed Films. In 2023, he contributed an article on essential Mexican horror cinema to Rue Morgue, a Canadian magazine widely regarded as a leading publication in the horror genre.
Currently, he is developing his first feature film in Mexico City. A devoted fan of the horror genre, he hopes his feature will achieve the same impact as his short films, enabling him to continue creating stories he loves.
