Evelin van Rei is a Dutch autistic artist working in photography and cinematography.
As cinematographer, she seeks to create pure, subversive, authored, and authentic films. Cinema as art form. She has a soft spot for indie, experimental, arthouse, surrealism, and psychology. With regard to commercials, she loves collaborations which allow her to travel, respond to and feel inspired by new environments, shoot in the great outdoors, and create real world, sci-fi, or imaginary narratives. Evelin is the recipient of the Angénieux Special Encouragement Award at Cannes Film Festival in 2022, which recognises next generation cinematographic talent. She is a full member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and the Netherlands Society of Cinematographers. She is currently based in London.
