Amir Hedayah is an acclaimed composer recognized for his work on Disney's Kizazi Moto (Generation Fire) and for his contributions to films such as Ala Gothety, Made in Egypt, Dufaat Beirut, and Apocalypse.
Born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, Amir began his musical journey at the Conservatoire de Musique D'Alexandrie, where he studied music theory, guitar, and piano. At the age of 16, he moved to Cairo to study at Helwan University's Faculty of Music Education, expanding his opportunities and laying the foundation for his future career.
Amir's professional career took off with his win of the Best Music Special Award for El Watar in 2010. In 2015, he gained further recognition by being named a top 10 finalist at the Oticons International Film Music Competition. His international presence was solidified in 2016 through collaborations with Bobby Beck, co-founder of Animation Mentor and Artella, and scoring the opening film for the 2016 CTN Animation eXpo, Duel. That year, Amir also became a member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) and scored the groundbreaking virtual reality animated short film, Lily & Snout.
Amir's accolades include the Best Soundtrack Award at Spain's International Spiritual Film Festival in 2018 for Apocalypse and the second Grand Prize at the Oticons International Film Scoring Competition in 2019. In 2020, he received a Hollywood Music in Media Award for Outstanding Main Title in a Foreign Language for Dofaat Beirut.
In 2021, Amir contributed to the establishment of the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Performance and was selected for the "Spot the Composer" program at the Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes. He also won a Gold Medal at the Global Music Awards.
