ABC Renews Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. For Season 7

I’ve got some great news for those of you who are still fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ABC has renewed the Marvel series for a seventh season!

Network executives must like the direction that the series is going in the upcoming Sixth season. It’s been about six month since Season 6 was announced.

Season 7 is a long way off so we can’t really speculate at this point where it might be headed. Hell, we don’t even really know what to expect from Season 6 yet! It’s not supposed to even air until summer of 2019. It will also only consist of 13 episodes. I imagine Season 7 will have the same amount of episodes.

I’m not a huge fan of this show but there are aspects of it that I enjoy and I’m curious to see how the story for these characters end up playing out.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Snags Early Season 7 Renewal at ABC!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not ending any time soon at ABC!

The network has placed an early order for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 despite the sixth season not debuting on the network until next summer.

The move is somewhat surprising, especially when you consider the fact that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 averaged just over 2 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the all-important 18-49 demo.

It certainly shows the pull Marvel has when it comes to getting marginally rated shows renewed, but the show has been used several times to stage tie-ins with the Marvel movies.

Despite getting a 13 episode order for the sixth season, ABC President Channing Dungey maintained earlier this year that it did not spell a final season for the series.

Agents of Shield Season 7 Confirmed

Chris Longo Nov 18, 2018

Marvel's premiere TV team will return, as ABC has confirmed Agents of Shield Season 7.

There is uncertainty in some corners of the Marvel TV universe, but one constant has been ABC’s Agents of Shield. With Netflix making a surprise move to cancel Luke Cage and Iron Fist, throwing doubt into the future of Marvel and Netflix’s partnership, and Disney commissioning high-profile limited series for Loki, Scarlet Witch, and Winter Soldier and Falcon on its Disney+ streaming service, fans were left to wonder what might become of Agents of Shield, a show that is typically on the ratings bubble.

Thankfully no one has to turn in their badges just yet. ABC has picked up Agents of Shield season 7. The news comes before the release of season six, which will air in 2019. Agents of Shield season 6 and 7 will consist of 13 episodes, a decrease from the 22 episode

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s mission is far from over.

ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey announced on Friday that the network’s Marvel series has already been renewed for Season 7, even though Season 6 not set to premiere until the summer of 2019.

Of note, the press release accompanying the news listed the series’ cast as follows: Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Jeff Ward — suggesting that although an ailing Agent Phil Coulson (played by original cast member Clark Gregg) walked off into the Tahiti sunset with lady love

‘Agents of Shield’ Renewed for Season 7 by ABC

ABC has handed out an early renewal to “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” picking up the series for a seventh season, the network announced on Friday.

The news comes months ahead of the drama’s sixth outing, which was pushed to Summer 2019 earlier this year. At the time, it caused some speculation about the aging show’s future, but the network insisted the move did not reflect a lack of confidence in the show or portend an imminent cancellation.

“By putting it in the summer, we feel like we’re going to be able to super-serve the fanbase that loves that show, and hopefully give it an opportunity to continue on longer than it would if it lived in season,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey told reporters earlier this year when the news was first announced, adding that she believed the most recent season to

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Locked In For July 2019 Premiere

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6 is but a teeny-tiny speck on the horizon at this point, but that hasn’t stemmed excitement for what should be a memorable installment of ABC’s superhero drama.

Made up of 13 episodes in total – down from the usual batch of 22 – filming on S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s sixth season kicked off late last month and now, we know when to expect it on our screens. Though we’ve been told summer 2019 for a while, star Elizabeth Henstridge has just narrowed it down a bit more. Responding to a comment on one of her Instagram posts, the actress revealed that the show will be with us again in July. So, just under a year from now.

Unfortunately, we don’t know too much about what to expect from this next, and possibly final run just yet, but the season premiere,

Agents of Shield Season 6: Who Got Promoted?

Jeff Ward, who stars as Deke Shaw, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming season, according to Entertainment Weekly

If you watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. online, you know that he was last seen going to check out the world in the aftermath of the history being altered.

He is the grandson of Fitz (Iain de Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) from a very different timeline, so his return should make for much drama.

ABC renewed the series back in May, despite it spending much of the season on the bubble, but there was a big twist that came with the renewal.

The 13-episode Season 6 will premiere in summer 2019, Channing Dungey, ABC President of Entertainment said today during the network’s upfront presentation. It was presumed the drama series’ sixth season would debut in midseason.

Dungey also made clear that the upcoming season is not envisioned as a series ender.

“I feel the season we just had was creatively the strongest yet,” she told attendees. We don’t plan it as a final season. The show has a loyal passionate base. It does incredibly well in delayed viewing.

By putting it on the summer we feel we can super-serve the show’s audience and possibly have it on the air longer,” she added.

Marvel's Agents Of Shield Renewed For Season 6

I heard that Marvel's Agents of Shield was very close to not being renewed, but ABC gave it the greenlight and it has been officially renewed for a sixth season!

According to Variety, Season 6 will consist of only 13 episodes. I've actually enjoyed the past couple seasons of the show, so it's good to see that there will at least be one more season. After that, who knows what's going to happen.

Season 5 left off with Agent Coulson discovering "that some, but not all, of his Shield colleagues were taken with him and placed onboard a mysterious spaceship. As they come in contact with some of the vessel’s inhabitants, it becomes abundantly clear that something has gone terribly awry, and the team will need to figure out their role and delve deeper into this nightmarish mystery to try to right what has gone incredibly wrong."

The series stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson,

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Renewed for Shortened Season 6

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have (some) more missions ahead of them.

ABC announced on Monday that the Marvel series has been renewed for Season 6, to air during the 2018-19 TV season. Sources say the new season will consist of just 13 episodes, though it has not yet been determined if it will be a farewell run.

The renewal news comes just as the TV series is lightly dovetailing with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (McU) blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War, by alluding to the alien supervillain Thanos’ invasion of Earth. What remains to be seen, though, is if and how S.

‘Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Renewed For Season 6 By ABC

  • Deadline
It came down to the wire, but ABC has given a 13-episode Season 6 order to Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the only chance for a Marvel series on ABC next season, with freshman series Inhumans canceled following a disappointing fall run. Despite its low live ratings, S.H.I.E.L.D. is a strong DVR gainer and an even stronger international seller for ABC Studios, as well as a marketing platform for Marvel. Even with DVR lifts, Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Live+7 adults 18-49 average for this season is a so-so 1.2 rating.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons,
