Cedric Mixon, born in St. Louis, MO now residing in Philadelphia, PA founded Kobalt Books Entertainment in 2003 to adapt the books it publishes into motion pictures. Mixon is the executive producer of the feature film, "Under the Cherry Tree", which he wrote, produced and directed. "Under the Cherry Tree" was released on January 8th, 2013, nationwide through Maverick Entertainment, Walmart (800+ stores), Blockbuster (1100+stores) and Redbox (16,000+ kiosks). Cedric Mixon's written the screenplay for a faith-based love story called "Forever My Soul Mate" and short film "God Created Me". He is the author of the book, "Under the Cherry Tree - Movie Tie-In Edition", "Lost Letters", "Boldly Walking Naked", and "Soul Mates". Poetry from "Lost Letters" has been featured in Essence Magazine. Mixon also published an anthology book of poetry called, "The Univer-Soul Language vol. I" and "The Outspoken Word".
Cedric Mixon graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, then later an MBA in Marketing. Mixon also completed Screenwriting I & II, Creative Writing, and Video Production courses from University of the Arts - Philadelphia.
