Rebecca Swislow

A Chicago native, Rebecca graduated Phi Beta Kappa with her BA from
Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where she studied Psychology and
Theater Studies and performed in several Theater Emory productions,
including The Trojan Women (Cassandra). She completed additional
training programs with the Moscow Art Theatre and at the London Academy
for Music and Dramatic Art. After playing principal roles in two
independent short films in Chicago with Herbivore Productions (The
Mockingbird and How Deep Is The Rabbit Hole? ) and originating the role
of Older Pearl in a new stage adaptation of The Scarlet Letter in
Pittsburgh, Rebecca then married and moved to Washington, DC to
complete her MFA from the Shakespeare Theatre Company's Academy for
Classical Acting at George Washington University, where she appeared in
the Academy's Rep Shows: The White Devil (Isabella) and Measure for
Measure (Mistress Overdone). Upon graduating, Rebecca appeared as
Barbara DeMarco in Shear Madness (The Kennedy Center) and Blanche/Lord
Salisbury in King John (WSC Avant Bard). In 2014, she received the
opportunity to play a couple of her favorite Shakespearean roles: Lady
Macbeth with Annapolis Shakespeare Company and Regan in a new SAG Film
production of King Lear shot in DC.
