Christine is a writer-producer based in England, U.K. She studied screenwriting at BAFTA and attended masterclasses given by award winning directors and writers e.g. Anthony Minghella ('The English Patient'), Deborah Maggovach ('Pride & Prejudice'), Michael Hirst ('Elizabeth', 'Elizabeth the Golden Age'), and many others. She was personally mentored by Sam Snape, BAFTA's film &TV writing lecturer.
Education and family background: Christine inherited her writing skills from her father, a Reuters correspondent and later newspaper editor based in (former British) Malaya and Singapore. Brought up by her Dad on classic literature and Hollywood movies, she started writing scripts. Her Dad's fav. movie was 'Roman Holiday' (starring Audrey Hepburn), about an honest journalist who fell in love with a princess. Dad encouraged his children to learn and travel, and introduced them to the fine arts, ballet and music. Christine went to Clarendon Girls school, a lovely English boarding school in Cambridgeshire, and later graduated from Bristol University.
BFI classes and charity galas: Like most graduates looking for work, she then moved to London, where she took up dance classes in her spare time and film courses at the BFI & Raindance. These led her to Film Festivals and Cannes. She works part-time in charity accounts (day job), helping with charity galas while in London, e.g. those with the ENB, UNICEF, Children with Leukaemia and the Princes Trust. She now lives and works in Buckinghamshire, England.
'True Love' film projects and 'Fun' Pursuits: Christine is a naturalized Brit, having lived in England since she was 17 and follows British pursuits, like joining the thousands at the Proms in Hyde Park, the Derby Epsom races and the Henley Royal Regatta events. She develops her own film projects for Cocoa Classic Films, named after her 'true love,' cat Cocoa (2005-2023). The song 'True Love' was sung by Grace Kelly in the movie 'High Society' and was Cocoa's fav. song. Christine's new love is a spaniel named Derby. 'A Dog's Purpose' is to play football and watch movies with her on the sofa.
Hobbies: Cooking dinners for friends and following Michelin star chef, Gordon Ramsay. Swimming and horse riding to keep slim.
