Joshua Braud(I)
- Actor
Joshua Braud, a New Orleans native, decided to pursue acting at an
early age; but his parents encouraged him to make school his top
priority instead. Eventually, with his mother's blessing, he signed to
a small casting agency (Louisiana Casting). In 2003, at the tender age
of 13, Joshua landed his first role. He was hired as a stand in during
the filming of Queen Latifah's movie, Last Holiday. After his role in
Last Holiday there was an eight year time lapse before Joshua began
receiving additional calls for work. In 2005 hurricane Katrina happened
and caused massive devastation. Despite Hurricane Katrina's impact he
was still determined to become a successful actor. After graduating
from high school (2007) in Baton Rouge, LA he enrolled in Southern
University. While a student in college, Joshua created aspiring actor
profiles on several casting company's websites. In 2011 he received the
long awaited phone call that would change his life forever. He landed
the second role of his career, as a baseball player, in Director Ron
Shelton's movie Hound Dogs. Since then he has landed additional rolls
in Django Unchained, 2 Guns, and The Butler; just to name a few. Joshua
is also a passionate singer/ songwriter and radio personality.
