Amazon’s The Wheel of Time adds Daniel Henney to its cast

Amazon’s series adaptation of The Wheel of Time has added yet another to its growing cast. The latest actor to join is Daniel Henney (Criminal Minds), who will play al’Lan Mandragoran, better known as Lan, in the series.

In the fantasy series, Lan is the Lord of the Seven Towers and last in the royal bloodline of the fallen kingdom of Malkier. He’ll star alongside Rosemund Pike (A Private War), who will lead the series as Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization Aes Sedai.

The Wheel of Time series consists of 14 volumes and a prequel novel, which have sold over 90 million copies around the world, and takes place in a world where magic exists, but only women are able to use it. ‘Wheel of Time’ Amazon Series Casts Daniel Henney
Daniel Henney has been cast in the upcoming Amazon series based on “The Wheel of Time.”

Henney will play the role of al’Lan Mandragoran. He joins previously announced cast members Rosamund Pike, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, and Madeleine Madden.

Henney previously starred in the popular Korean series “My Lovely Sam-Son” as well as “Hello Franceska,” “Spring Waltz,” and “The Fugitive: Plan B.” He previously starred in the spinoff series “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” before joining the cast of the flagship show in 2017, with the latter series set to end with its upcoming 15th season.

His American television credits include “Criminal Minds,” “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders,” “Hawaii Five-o,” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.” On the film side, he has appeared in projects like “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and “The Last Stand.”

Hawaii Five-0 and Criminal Minds star Daniel Henney joined Amazon’s big-budget fantasy drama The Wheel of Time.

Henney plays al’Lan Mandragoran, commonly known as Lan or Lord of the Seven Towers, the uncrowned king and only survivor of the royal line of the fallen kingdom of Malkier.

He stars alongside Rosamund Pike, who plays Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.

Katrina Law is making her way to Hawaii Five-0.

The Arrow veteran has copped a series regular role on the tenth season of the veteran CBS drama series.

The actress is on board as Quinn Liu, a former Staff Sergeant with Army Cid who was demoted for insubordination.

Quinn comes into contact with the team during a case involving veterans, and despite a troubling beginning, the team quickly recognizes her as an asset.

“We are thrilled to have Katrina join the [cast],” says showrunner Peter M. Lenkov of the casting.

Amazon’s The Wheel of Time adds five to its cast

After adding Rosemund Pike (Gone Girl) as the show’s lead, Amazon has announced five new additions to its series adaptation of Robert Jordan’s fantasy series The Wheel of Time. Joining Pike will be Madeleine Madden (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Zoë Robins (Power Rangers Ninja Steel), Barney Harris (Clique), Marcus Rutherford (Obey) and Josha Stradowski (Just Friends).

Along with the castings, Amazon revealed which characters the new additions will play. Madden will portray Egwene Al’Vere, Robins will play Nynaeve, Harris is Mat Cauthon, Rutherford will be Perrin Aybara and Stradowski is portraying Rand Al’Thor.
