Chantal Jean-Pierre is an accomplished and seasoned actress of stage and TV, with notable experience as a university Acting professor. Most recently, she appeared in an episode of Blue Bloods with the two leads of the show; she is also known for previous television credits including New Amsterdam, Law & Order: SVU, and The Good Fight.
Born in Haiti and raised in Miami, Chantal has performed in regional theater stages throughout the U.S., such as the highly acclaimed "Fairview" by Jackie Sibblies-Drury; the acclaimed Haitian/Cuban production of Our Town by Thornton Wilder; played Goneril in "King Lear" with Andre DeShields at the Folgers Shakespeare; and twice played the title role in Shakespeare's "Antony and Cleopatra".
Chantal excels in roles where the characters possess a pillar of strength with commanding intelligence. Her acting abilities balance courage and vulnerability, while fusing technique with innate form.
Her accomplished acting work has also led to teaching opportunities at many notable and respected theater arts programs such as: Rutgers University, SUNY/Purchase, Brown Trinity, Howard University, and Montclair State University. She also runs a successful private coaching business, Pierre Acting Coach.
She holds an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University under the tutelage of Bill Esper and Maggie Flannigan and a BFA from Florida International University.
