Adam Daniel Mezei is a Canadian character actor. He was born in the old Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the corner of University and Elm. He is the son of Peter Mezei, a successful garment industry business owner and sculptor mother, Valentina Mezei. He has one sister, Stephanie Mezei.

Adam graduated in the top three at McGill University's prestigious Bronfman School of Management in Montreal, Canada in 1996. After a very short (3 months) stint in the corporate world he realized that his creative energies were too stifled and launched out on his international adventures.

A stringer for magazines and newspapers in Prague, Czech Republic, he worked with the international English-speaking expat community. He had the opportunity to rub shoulders with Western European diplomats and a variety of expat entrepreneurs where he became somewhat of a linchpin. While there, he wrote two short story anthologies; WE ARE THE NEW AURORAS (2005) and WE ARE THE NEW BOHEMIANS (2006) in which one of his stories, Mayor Sulc's Astonishing 2010 Directive, won the prestigious BCSA 1st Place award from the British Czech and Slovak Association (BCSA). He was flown to the UK from Prague to present in front of the Czech and Slovak Ambassadors to the Court of St. James.

Being lured into the film world by the inspiring work of Polish filmmaker, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Adam was most influenced by Kieslowski's DEKALOG, LA DOUBLE VIE DE VÉRONIQUE (The Double Life of Veronique), and THREE COLOURS: BLUE, WHITE, RED. In November of 2000, he felt he could do better than a lot of the films he was seeing and decided to write his first screenplay, CROSSOVER. Working primarily behind camera, Adam's career brought him as far afield as South Africa, New Zealand, the Middle East and Germany and back home to Canada in Vancouver, Montreal and his current home base of Toronto.

Adam continued his work in Europe adding creative producer to his credits from 2003 - 2005.

From 2005-2010, while based in Prague, his writing became prolific. Most notably THE 416 TRILOGY: Bloor-Yonge, Bay-Adelaide, King-John. From 2010-2012 Adam became a much sought-after Producer of Marketing and Distribution (PMD) in the indie film industry.

Returning to Canada in September of 2010, Adam expanded his film career. His first acting role came in 2012 in Berlin where he played a "Zoner" in the indie film THE INNER DISTRICT, a film based on his award-winning short story directed by German cult horror phenom Juliane Block. To support his film obsession, in 2015 he became an Uber driver. As with all things ADM, he attacked the job with aplomb driving over 5000 rides and becoming one of the best drivers at the time, highly-rated with tons of positive comments!

In 2017 he started acting full-time when one of his friends mentioned that "all of his conversational antics were going to waste while not being filmed or on some kind of camera." He also started his own production company, THE RAZZMATAZZ OF REEL, and restarted his vlog on YouTube.

Adam is multi-lingual, he speaks English, French, German, Spanish, some Czech and Slovak and reads Cyrillic. In 2020 he was cast for the German-speaking part of KLAUS VON LETTOW-VORBECK which garnered him two Best Supporting Actor credits in the multi-award winning film THE ACE AND THE SCOUT, by Aaron Huggett.

Known for being able to transform himself to suit the role, Adam has perfected multiple idiosyncratic accents, completely altered his physical appearance and movements to embody the characters he plays.

Always striving for further expression of his gifts and skills, Adam is developing the 1980s-era Canadian cop TV Series, LIGHT UP THE NIGHT.
