Italian actress and performer based in Barcelona.
Her encounter with performing arts took place when, as an activist, she participated to a few
happenings of the Living Theater.
Since then, her interest in performing arts grew more and more and led her to investigate Jerzy
Grotowski's method at the Teatro Ridotto, in Bologna.
Meanwhile, she took a Master Degree in Letter and Philosophy at Bologna University and obtained a
Degree in Drama focused on childhood and youth. In 2007, she was awarded by a European Union scholarship
in performing arts and she moves to Barcelona, Spain, where she still lives.
Here she graduated in Corporal Drama Mime and Meisner Technique at the Javier Galitó Cava's
program (Neighborhood Playhouse, New York) and she studied with different artists such as Graham Smith,
María Stoyanova and Pablo Silber / Virginia García (coaching in acting for the camera).
At the same time she graduates as Hatha Yoga Teacher (Mandiram, Barcelona).
She developed projects related to body expression and performance, aimed at children, teenagers
and adults in Italy, Spain, Chile, Palestine and Israel.
Valentina acted in several short movies, video clips and the movie "La Lámpara- El Ensayo" (Damian
Pisarra, ActivaFilms) and performed in several plays: "Not In My Name" and "No More Firmament", produced
by The Living Theatre, which were taken on tour in Italy, Austria, Palestine and Israel and in the shows "La
Lámpara" (Atelie Voador, Brazil) and "The Last Show" (María Stoyanova, Antic Theatre, Barcelona), among
others.
Since 2015, starting from autobiographical material and personal experience, she creates the
Human/Site/Time Specific Performances: "Piel/ Tierra" (Experimental Room Festival, Barcelona, 2015),
"Sex Room" (Kowalski Club, Buenos Aires , Argentina, Experimental Room Festival 2016, EroStreet Festival,
Barcelona) and "El Placer de la Nada/ The Pleasure of Nothing".
