Mario Pagano is a Venezuelan filmmaker who started telling stories at the age of 15 with a camera his parents gave him. As a professional storyteller, he initially used a photo camera to tell stories through fashion editorials and worked professionally as a photographer before studying film in New York. He moved to Madrid, and after making seven short films, he premiered his first feature film, "Backseat Fighter," in Spain and other countries. Mario has worked in film, TV, music videos, and advertising, showcasing his multidisciplinary talents as a director, writer, producer, cinematographer, and musician.
He has been awarded for his short films, feature films, and photographic work at various festivals around the world.
His unique vision, shaped by his multicultural experiences as a Latin American living in Europe for half of his life, creates an imaginative and distinct aesthetic that he presents in his latest film, "Nueva Tierra / New Earth," which envisions how the world will be 100 years from now.
