Adeola Alao is a first-generation Nigerian-American dreamer, born in the Bronx, NY. He is a self-taught filmmaker and photographer, obsessed with narrative and imagery. Adeola's curiosity about humanity, coupled with his love of poetics, continuously allows him to discover new ways to explore visual storytelling.
Adeola has worked on award-winning and award-worthy feature films and shorts. In 2009, he was a finalist at the Slamdance Film Festival for his screenplay 'Mafia' and won at the Illinois International Film Festival for his feature screenplay 'Micro-Business'. In 2021, Adeola was recognized and won awards for his short film 'Patriarch' at Venice Shorts and the Gold Harvest Film Festival.
Recently, Adeola released his most ambitious film project titled 'Triumph', a short film, highlighting the new Tesla Model 3, shot on super 16mm Kodak motion picture film.
Adeola lives in NY with his growing young family and is currently writing the script for his next television pilot and debut feature film.
