Sandrine Anterrion
- Actress
- Writer
- Art Director
Sandrine Anterrion was born in Martinique, French West Indies, into a working class family.
She very early on developed skills for designing and drawing fashion.
As a teenager, she acted in a few plays, and learned street theatre techniques. Throughout her life, she has carefully observed and analyzed body language: an opportunity which, because of her physical appearance, thousands of strangers would (subconsciously or otherwise) throw at her on a weekly basis. Naturally, she has therefore gathered a considerable amount of material for the following fields of study: acting and directing, dance and choreography, painting and illustration, music and textile psychology analysis. Sandrine has later on developed her own stage concepts, specifically for Opera.
Dance was also part of her life story, from age 14: folkloric French West-Indian styles, West African, North African and Arabic, Brazilian, Funk. She created her dance theatre company in 2001, then taught Belly dance and other styles. As a dance performer, her portfolio of clients ranges from 5-star hotels to popular London-based festivals.
She designs dance costumes, and has developed a specific brand of logo-based fashion illustrations.
She has starred in a few music videos, as a dancer and actress. She has had the opportunity to act as an extra in an opera staging by Ellen Kent company; then in a few film productions. She regularly finds the opportunity to create and film her own one-woman video concepts; involving character studies, often via musical scores.
She sings Jazz and crossover classical, in Latin, English, Spanish, German, and Italian. She has been trained in Bel Canto, through private classes. Her voice covers a 5-octave range.
A keen writer, she pens down poetry, sociology and music psychology essays. Sandrine is working on her own film and video concepts inspired by the power of music on the human mind.
Sandrine Anterrion is a one-in-a-million, multi-million-dollar, one-woman brand: a potent mixture of Dance, choreography, storyboard skills, illustration, fashion design, communication skills, sultry vocals, music analysis, textile analysis, imposing stage presence, beauty, acting, directing, writing, languages, business skills, resilience, and an impressive range of life experiences. She currently resides in London, and regularly travels to France and the Americas.
