Ana Ibarra has a BFA in Production Design and Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. After graduating, she collaborated in the features CBGB (2013) and the Sacrament (2013) under the direction of Craig Stearns, production designer (The Mask 1994) and Kristen Mcgarry, art director (Terminator 1984).
Upon her return to Mexico she began working as production designer completing the romantic comedy Todo Lo Que No Quiero (INK and Resortera films 2014), and the western Mis Demonios Nunca Juraron Soledad (La Tuerca Films 2016). In 2017 along with her working partner Lucia Diez Marina, art director, they created Golden Stockings a production design + art direction studio.
Her design philosophy is to continuously exploit the balance between theatricality and ordinary encounters to conceive new atmospheres.
Resides in Mexico City but works around the globe.
