Hanna van Vliet is a Golden Calf nominated actress and creator, and EFP Shooting Star (Berlinale) 2022. She graduated in Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2014.
She is the lead of the successful drama series ANNE+, that she also co-created. Hanna also stars in feature films Quicksand (2021), Lost Transport (2022) and ANNE+ (2021). She can be seen in the Netflix show Toon, and was at Canneseries with the high-end drama series Childhood Dreams (2022). Hanna was nominated three times for a Golden Calf for "Best Actress" at the Netherlands Film Festival in 2020, 2021 and 2023, and was nominated for a Musical Award (for 'Fiddler on the Roof' and 'De Tweeling') twice. She is currently shooting for the high end drama series Ik Val Niet, Ik Dans (2024).
Hanna is an advocate for a broad representation of female leads and queer roles in the (Dutch) film and TV landscape.
In addition to her work for film, she works in theatre on a regular basis. She starred as Hodol in Fiddler on the Roof. And played title roles in other theatrical plays and musicals.
