Anthony Hampton was born in Houston, Texas on August 24th, 1984. He is a writer/director.
He began to study filmmaking in 2004 and enrolled at the Digital Film Academy in 2010 while living in New York.
His DFA thesis film, Wake (later titled Sillage), screened opening night for Queens World Film Festival 2011, was nominated for Best Experimental Film and went on to screen at the historic Anthology Film Archives theater, Long Island City Arts Festival 2012, as well as other venues throughout the city.
