Jonathan Roarke
- Actor
Born and raised in Louisiana, Jonathan Roarke was bitten by the acting
bug at a young age when he was cast in a commercial for the Boy Scouts
of America. Later as an adult, he trained in voice acting and film
acting at the Film Actor's Lab in Dallas before going to Hollywood.
There he studied voice acting and auditioned for a few parts, but was
unhappy with the LA lifestyle. He then moved to Las Vegas, where he
worked briefly as a puppeteer. From there he made his way back to
Louisiana, and began performing professionally as a magician and
ventriloquist. After hurricane Katrina, film activity in North
Louisiana picked up considerably, offering him more opportunities to
pursue acting. After signing with an agent he began auditioning again
and booked a national commercial, and sporadically worked as background
on several films shot locally. Primarily trained as a voice actor, he
is most comfortable behind a microphone but does enjoy the occasional
on-camera role, particularly if it is an interesting character.
