India. A qualified sound engineer he started off his career with the
now 2 time Oscar Winning music composer
A.R. Rahman.
In early 2007, Prashant made his mark as a music producer with the short film Rahu where the film and his work got noticed for the influences in Sufi music and an earthy, ethnic and atmospheric sound-scape used in the score.
He has worked on a few critically acclaimed films like Nayakan (2010) and City of God (2011), and the much awaited Shaitan (2011) produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Bejoy Nambiar. Drifting away from the clichéd sounds, Prashant's distinct sounds and unusual song styles make his compositions unique.
Known for his uncanny fusion of genres and instruments, he is known to be fun to work with and a artists composer.
