Mara Stoller

Mara Stoller, currently known as Mara Kurtz, is a graphic designer, photographer and photo illustrator.
Her work has appeared in the NY Times Magazine, Metropolis, Travel and Leisure, Metropolitan Home and Residential Architect.
She has received awards from the AIGA, Art Directors Club, Type Directors Club, Society of Illustrators and Society of Publication Design.
A Professor at Parsons School of Design and The New School for twenty-five years, she teaches graphic design and photography classes. She has also taught in the graduate photography program at the School of Visual Arts.
Mara was President of the Tyoe Directors Club from 1996-98 and has organized and hosted the New York Design Experience, an International graphic design conference at The New School, since 2006.
Her book of documentary photographs exploring a small southern town in the 1970's, THe Rock Hill Puctures, was published in 2012.
Mara was an Editor on Mattin Scorsese's film, "What's a Nice Girl Doing in a Place Like This."
She is a graduate of New York University, Parsons School of Design and The New School (MA Media Studies.)
