William DiPietra(1975-2017)

Born to Helen (a teacher) and Frank (a railroad worker) on June 7, 1975 in New York City, William DiPietra began going to the movies with his father at the early age of 4. After seeing Martin Scorsese's 1990 masterpiece, "GoodFellas," he decided that he wanted to study film and acquired his B.A. in Media Arts from Fordham University in 1998. In 2005, William became a New York City Emergency Medical Technician but his passion for film never left him. In 2007, he founded the independent film production company Richmond Productions, Inc. with a commitment to produce thought-provoking films in the spirit of Stanley Kubrick & Ingmar Bergman. Amidst today's digital revolution, William continues to shoot & edit on film. Although much of his film equipment was lost during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, William finished his graduate thesis in Media Arts that December and acquired his M.A. from Long Island University in January of 2013. He still resides in New York City and continues to produce short films.
