Nebraska lawmakers are calling for the resignation of State Senator Steve Halloran (R) after he repeatedly inserted the name of two fellow senators into an extremely graphic rape scene he read to the chamber.
On Monday, while debating a bill that would revoke prosecution exemptions granted to “educational institutions providing obscenity to minors in grades K-12,” Halloran directed his comments at Sens. Machaela (D) and John Cavanaugh (D), siblings who serve alongside Halloran in the state Senate and opposed the proposed legislation.

Megan Hunt had a bad feeling, just not at first.
The Nebraska state senator had been approached in May about participating in a documentary titled It Takes a Village, which she was told would air in August and spotlight “issues facing children and parents in the trans community and how it relates to our future as a society,” according to emails shared with Rolling Stone. Hunt, who has a trans child and has advocated for trans rights in the state legislature, was on board.

Lizzo performed in Omaha, Nebraska this weekend, where a newly passed bill introduces restrictions on abortion and gender-affirming care. At the show, the singer took the opportunity to speak out against the law, imploring her audience, “don’t let anybody tell you who you are.”
“Anybody who comes to a Lizzo show should know that I am for people to have the right to healthcare — reproductive and gender-affirming,” she said. The artist grew emotional noting the amount of children in the crowd, particularly because LB574 bans gender-affirming care for Nebraskans under 19.
“It really breaks my heart that there are young people growing up in a world that doesn’t protect them,” she said. “So let me be your safe space tonight.”

Could Grey's Anatomy be about to pull the rug from under fans around the world?
Well, it wouldn't be the first time.
ABC has dropped the first official teaser for Grey's Anatomy Season 18, seemingly setting the stage for another big comeback.
“Brace yourself for one helluva return,” the voiceover warns viewers over footage of someone making their way to the hospital in a stretcher.
Teddy drops an “Oh my God” reaction, while Owen has a shocked look on his face, but could this lead to an unannounced comeback?
The trailer also features Abigail Spencer's Megan Hunt, who skipped town with Martin Henderson's Nathan Riggs to raise their adopted son.
Spencer's return was already confirmed this week, but there has been no word on Nathan, leading many to speculate what brings the character back in a recurring capacity.

After one of the most remarkable installments of the series ever, Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 20 brought us back to the usual.
It also brought us Abigail Spencer's reprisal of Megan Hunt who served as an audience surrogate for the plethora of fans who are clinging to the hope Teddy and Owen will find their way back to each other.
It was an understated hour used to shift the pieces around on the board to set up for future storylines.
Coming off of Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 19, Jo is not doing well. She has descended into depression and alcoholism, and her behavior is disturbing for anyone who spends long enough time with her.
Alex knows something is wrong, but he's unaware of the full extent of it, and he is questionably ill-equipped to take note of how far Jo has fallen.

News can confirm Spencer, who recently starred in NBC's Timeless, will reprise the role of Megan, sister to Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), in a season 15 episode. Megan was last seen starting a new life with Riggs (Martin Henderson) and her son in Los Angeles. So…will we see Riggs again? Get a name check? Find out what he's up to? That remains to be seen. Storyline details are being kept under wraps. Spencer, who also appears on USA Network's Suits, appeared in five episodes of Grey's Anatomy in 2017. The secret baby saga continues.
Teddy made her grand reappearance on Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 5 after being missing in action for longer than she should have been. Thanks to Meredith, Teddy is one step closer to telling Owen about his biological child.
If we're lucky, Owen may find out before the midseason finale. Goody!
Teddy has been incredibly frustrating this season so far. When news broke that Kim Raver would return as a series regular, many fans could not be happier. The possibilities were endless, and a familiar face could somewhat ease all the negativity surrounding the series due to so many changes.
Then this storyline came about where Teddy has come across as nothing but selfish and childish if she ever made it onscreen that is, and it was disappointing.
Most fans could guess why she wanted to hold off on telling Owen the truth. She freaked out and...

I was skeptical that season 14 of Grey's Anatomy would truly be lighthearted, despite what the cast had been saying. Shonda Rhimes's hit drama, after all, is notorious for bomb scares, plane crashes, and ruthless deaths. Plus, we found out halfway through the season that two beloved cast members would leave the show! But this joyful season surprised us with touching moments like Meredith's Harper Avery win and Jo's heartwarming proposal. Still, the writers introduced major game changers in the finale, so we'll definitely encounter some classic Grey's drama come season 15.
Here are the biggest turning points that you should remember from the least sad Grey's season of all time.
1. Amelia Discovers That She Has a Grapefruit-Sized Brain Tumor
Amelia discovers that she has been walking around with a grapefruit-sized tumor for years. Luckily, Dr. Koracick removes the tumor successfully. After her surgery, Amelia realizes that Owen had married her tumor,...

“I am thrilled to reprise the role of Dr. Teddy Altman as a regular,” Raver said.

Raver previously appeared as a regular from 2009 to 2012, before returning in 2017 for an arc which focused on the return of Owen's long-lost sister, Megan Hunt.
With Owen and Amelia officially calling their relationship off on Grey's Anatomy Season 14, it allowed Owen to get close to Teddy once again.

We have a first look at Meredith's first encounter with the mysterious new doctor that will be dropping into Grey Sloan Memorial.
If you have watched the promo for Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Episode 17, you'd know that Meredith will be tending to a handsome transplant doctor who found his way to Grey Sloan Memorial.
The two have a nice, flirty chemistry that has piqued the interest of many fans.
Meredith has not been with a guy since her experience with Nathan Riggs. While the two bonded over their shared grief, he merely served as a stepping stone for Meredith.
Nathan reunited with his true love, Megan Hunt, and Meredith learned how to overcome her grief and move on a bit from Derek.
Thanks to Riggs, Meredith is now open to love, and that's a lovely thing.

Meredith is smitten in the promos for Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Episode 17.
You know what? So am I!
Animal Kingdom fans may be relishing (or mourning) the sight of guest star Scott Speedman. Personally, he'll always be Ben Covington me.
I was more of a Team Noel girl than a Team Ben.
Coincidentally, the other dashing Scott from the epic Felicity, Ben, Noel love triangle had one of the most memorable roles of Grey's Anatomy ever as Henry. Scott Foley made the move to Scandal, but hopefully, Scott Speedman will be sticking around.

It was a tough time for her character and many Grey's Anatomy fanatics, but when Martin Henderson was added as Nathan Riggs, she finally made strides towards moving on.

There will be one less familiar face making rounds on Grey’s Anatomy this fall: TVLine has learned exclusively that Tessa Ferrer — whose return last season as fired doc Leah Murphy was met with considerable fanfare — is not expected back for the ABC drama’s upcoming 14th season.
Although an ABC rep declined to comment, multiple sources confirm that Ferrer has been Mia on the set so far this season and there are currently no plans for Leah to be phased back into the Grey Sloan rotation.

“Hands down, these are the biggest Ben episodes I’ve had to deal with,” declares Jason George of this week’s two-hour Grey’s Anatomy (8/7c, ABC) which finds his alter ego forced to perform a risky medical procedure during a hospital-wide emergency. Adding to the tension: Ben’s boss is also his significant other.
Below, George previews Thursday’s harrowing Ben-centric double-header and reveals the ominous heads-up he received from producers just prior to shooting.
