I am an Interdisciplinary artist and Grand Prix Dressage rider; a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City. I earned a Bachelor's Degree at Adelphi University in Art Education. I graduated Goddard College in 2011 with a Masters of Fine Art majoring in film and photography.

As a young artist in N.Y.C. my art practice was eclectic, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, pottery and children's book illustration. My sculptures were represented by the D.I. Group Limited, in N.Y.C. In the end it was my love of horses that won out. For thirty-five years I lived my passion training and competing dressage horses to the Grand Prix Level. I worked with well known international riders and trainers honing my skills. I shared my experience with others through instructing riders and training horses.

In life the unexpected happens and I was drawn to a new artistic medium when film went digital and I enjoyed the process of editing. I first used this new found skill as an advertising tool to record horses in training, competition and sales. I was introduced to a producer at Raleigh Television Network and was offered an opportunity to produce a television show; this lead to the process of honing my skills further. I wore many hats as director, cinematographer and editor for the television show Camera, Action. This became my passport in meeting a myriad of independent filmmakers. I volunteered to work on several independent films throughout North Carolina learning most of the crew positions. I had always planned on someday earning her Masters of Fine Art and Goddard College low residency format was the right fit. My experience at Goddard was energizing and inspiring. I was prolific in producing a wide variety of films, including a project called The Everyday, filming 1 - 3 minute of daily occurrences; and the following semester a project called Quotidian in which was a daily photography exploration, with the goals of making the familiar strange, and the strange familiar. It was during this period I transitioned from dressage rider back to artist, filmmaker and photographer. Many of my experimental films, narrative shorts, documentaries were accepted into film festivals as well as site specific avant garde films.

I had an opportunity in 2018 to be an adjunct professor at Living Arts College. I am proud to write that my Production I class filmed a documentary called ARTS of Wake Forest that was entered into their first film festival and earned an award. Later during the health crisis of 2020 classes went remote and my two classes created an experimental film short that was accepted into the North Carolina Film Awards Festival. I have enjoyed inspiring the next generation of filmmakers, photographers and artists.

in 2020 and to the future....I continue to be involved with independent filmmakers, work on my own films and return to my passion for horses where I am training riders and dressage horses.
