Born and raised in Egypt, Aida Takla was the youngest woman to become (aged 16) a pilot. As Aida Takla-O'Reilly, she has been a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) since 1956 and represents Dubai. She served as president of the HFPA from 1994-96, and, again, from 2012-13.
