Johanna Griesé in a Brooklyn based actor, singer, producer and director. She was born and raised on Long Island in New York. Johanna and her family moved to Florida after she graduated high school. Johanna attended the University of Tampa and graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with a concentration in the Fine Arts and Humanities. In 2014, Johanna began studying privately with her coach/mentor, Meisner certified actor Eugenie Bondurant (of The Hunger Games). Johanna has performed in theatre productions throughout Central Florida. Notable roles include Raja in I Never Saw Another Butterfly, Grace in Radium Girls, Bianca in Taming of the Shrew, and Amy in the world premiere of The Happiest Place on Earth. Johanna has also studied under Tony Award and Academy Award Winner Mercedes Ruehl at HB Studios. She studies voice with former Opera singer Katy Decker.
Most recently, Johanna successfully starred and produced "Proof" by David Auburn at Andi Matheny Acting Studios in St. Pete. In addition to playing Catherine, she also handled all marketing, was the play's Dramaturgist, and directed the sole scene she was not in. She made her Off Off Broadway Debut in "Love Letters Made Easy" which she also assistant directed. She just joined the Greenhouse Ensemble Company. Johanna will be making her Off Broadway debut in "Brief Encounters," which she stars in at the Luv Short Play Festival on February 10-13 at the Players in Manhattan. A SAG-AFTRA actor, she can currently be seen in Mysteries at the Museum as Caterina, and featured in the new Denzel Washington film "Journal for Jordan." She can also be seen in upcoming episodes of "City on a Hill" and "The Blacklist."
