Alex has grown up in the costume industry. She started making costumes
for dance recitals, presentations, and television commercials at her
mother's business, Trims & Togs Dancewear, in southeastern Michigan.
She was involved in plays and productions in high school and college.
She earned a Bachelor's degree at Grand Valley State University in Fine
Arts (Illustration) with an incomplete Theatre Minor. Her first set was
"Defector", written and directed by Joshua Courtade. She assisted in
wardrobe and set dressing for "Defector". Since then she has continued
to assist and eventually head the wardrobe department on Courtade's
short films and serials such as the "Hank Danger" series. Her favorite
directors are Tim Burton, M. Night Shymalan, and Hayao Miazaki.
