GregRobin Smith is a Shakespearean, Writer, Musician, Renaissance Faire performer, Chautauqua Presenter (as Benjamin Franklin), Fundraiser, Medieval Martial Artist (Full Armor Full-Contact Fighting) Sonnet Writer, Playwright, and Lecturer on Shakespeare. He has spoken at Science-Fiction and Fantasy conventions for years on the influence of Shakespeare on modern writing and scripts and on Pilar Alessandra's "On the Page" Podcast for Screenwriters (twice). He was an adjunct instructor with Western Washington University in Shakespeare and will be teaching at Skagit Valley College (on Shakespeare) in May of 2024.
GregRobin (yes, that is his actual first name) runs The Washington Shakespearean Festival. His book (More than What was Wanted) is a 226 page treatise on possible ways and motivations of Shakespeare's motivations and methods for writing as he did. He has performed, taught, presented educational programs, and/or done fundraisers in California, Oregon, Washington, BC Canada, Alberta Canada, both Dakotas, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Hawai'i, Connecticut, Washington DC, Ireland, Israel, and Texas.
GregRobin is a proud AGVA Union member (The American Guild of Variety Artists) He has been a member of the Teamsters (AFofL-CIO), Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) and AFSCME (State of Washington) He carries a current CDL Certificate (should a role require driving a bus or a large fixed-body truck) and has trained in Medieval sword and shield, and double sword techniques, for over 40 years.
