Rachel Kadushin boldly spoke to strangers when she grew up in New York
City's Greenwich Village in the 1970s, not realizing that she wasn't an
adult yet. She sold artwork outside of her home when she was six,
worked in a comic book store when she was 10, won the "name the sky
rink snack bar" copywriting contest also at the age of 10, and worked
as an administrative clerk when she was 11. Puberty in the 1980s lead
to interesting interpersonal and academic challenges, commuting on
subways to high school in the Bronx, and a leadership role with science
fiction and animation clubs. Sadly, she was a little too shy sitting
behind Jon Favreau in art class; but she made up for it later on when
she passed the first round of tests for the DGA trainee program in Los
Angeles, and became a public speaker in the fields of comic books and
production.
