Raised in New Jersey and originally educated as a zoologist, David-Damien Mattia works professionally as a writer for
several international horse racing publications after having spent the
last 25 year working as a successful trotting racehorse trainer and
horse racing journalist. He also works as a featured journalist and columnist
for The Canadian Sportsman Magazine, where his featured column, "Laugh
Track" has been a favorite with horse racing fans since 2006. David
is also a distinguished reporter for Harness Link and Harness Racing Update which are
considered to be the most widely read horse racing websites in the
world. Prior to devoting his career specifically to journalism and
screenwriting, he trained some of the most famous harness racehorses
of all time.
