When Robert Pattinson first sank his teeth into the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight, the world couldn’t get enough of him. Of course, we can’t blame them—who wouldn’t be swayed by a sparkly vampire who ended up winning over Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart)?

The acclaimed franchise didn’t just shoot Pattinson and his then-girlfriend Kristen Stewart to Hollywood stardom; it also cooked up the ‘Robsten’ phenomenon, serving up endless laughs and drama. Their off-screen drama was arguably as intense as their on-screen chemistry.

But while fans were busy swooning, Pattinson himself was far from starry-eyed about the cultural juggernaut. Jenn Proske ("Vampires Suck," "Beauty and the Beast") and Chris Redman ("CSI: Miami") have been cast in recurring roles in "Graceland," USA Network's upcoming law enforcement drama.

Proske will play Abby, an affluent East Coast girl who falls for Mike (Aaron Tveit), one of the agents living undercover in a beach house in Southern California.

Redman's character, Whistler, is a meth addict working as a criminal informant for FBI agent Charlie (Vanessa Ferlito), who takes on a big sister role with the troubled and lonely man.

Sela Ward Co-Worker Drama Cast for CSI: NY

CSI: NY has turned to Michael Weston to play a former co-worker of Jo (Sela Ward) for an episode airing November 18. Weston will be playing Frank, an FBI crime lab agent and Jo’s partner before she the left Washington and the Bureau. To spice up the drama just a smidge, Jo wasn’t on the best of terms with Frank before she departed.

TV Guide reports that Frank and Jo worked on a rape case just before she left. Frank made a mistake while processing evidence and Jo couldn’t keep quiet on the mistake. This resulted in the rapist, John Curtis (Jason Wiles), getting off scot-free. Now in the present, Curtis is at it again, this time in New York, and Frank pays Jo a visit. Angry Senator after Sela Ward in CSI: NY Season 8

Actress Sela Ward has made a senator pretty darn angry, but don’t worry; that’s just what takes place on camera for CSI: NY’s eighth season. Behind the scenes there’s a warm reunion happening between Ward and a former co-star of ABC’s Once and Again. Jeffery Nordling played Ward’s ex-husband Jake on the series, which ended in 2002. Now he’ll be guest starring on CSI: NY as the aforementioned senator.

EW reports that Nordling’s U.S. senator is furious with Jo (Ward) for how a rape case involving his daughter (played by Jenn Proske) was handled. Once and Again fans, this news is for you: EW has learned exclusively that Jeffrey Nordling will reunite with Sela Ward for a two-episode arc airing in November.

Nordling will play a U.S. senator who is still miffed at the way Jo (Ward) handled a rape case involving his daughter, Serena (played by newcomer Jenn Proske). The senator comes to New York City when his daughter’s rapist is arrested on a new case and applies pressure to make sure things aren’t screwed up the second time around.

Could another Twilight spoof movie be on the way? Evidently so. Variety, when reporting on the plans for a new production company, Stonebrook International, mentioned that its "Cannes lineup turns around genre, including [a] 'Twilight'/vampire movie spoof 'Bite Me' . . ."

Indeed, you're probably already aware that the first full-length theatrical film spoofing the Twilight Saga was last year's Vampires Suck, starring Matt Lanter, Jenn Proske, Diedrich Bader, and Ken Jeong. With a production budget estimated at $20 million, Vampires Suck brought in $80 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. So, it was certainly not a wash.

Details are slim on what Bite Me will focus on. The IMDb page for a 2011 film called Bite Me: The Movie offers the following description:

Spoof veterans Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg set their sights on The Twilight Saga with Vampires Suck, their latest low budget comedy movie.

Becca Crane moves to the sleepy town of Sporks and finds herself torn between two men. There's sparkling vampire Edward, whose commitment issues stem from his bloodsucking family trying to eat his prospective girlfriends, and his dogged rival for her affections, Jacob. Hilarity ensues on a rollercoaster through pop culture and teenage vampire relationships.

Oh, I should probably mention at this point in the review that Vampires Suck is utter dogshit. Surprise!

I think, to some extent, the world has been waiting for a decent Twilight spoof, but boy, this is not it. Hell, if the real films were intended as satire, they'd be lauded...

The last time I heard a film audience in such a state of silence was during Ingmar Bergman's Winter Light. Jason Friedman and Aaron Seltzer have specialised in genre spoofs such as Date Movie, Disaster Movie and Meet the Spartans, and now they're back with a desperately, almost fanatically unfunny version of the Twilight franchise. It's the kind of satire that could be renamed "parasitire": a movie that tries to siphon off some of the box-office cash with what is effectively a humourless knock off, a line-by-line, moment-by-moment, mickey-take without jokes – or at least very few. Matt Lanter plays Edward Sullen, the pale teen-vampire hottie, and Jenn Proske does what I admit is a nifty impression of Kristen Stewart, playing Becca, the glum girl who falls in love with him but can't have sex...

Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer’s Vampires Suck surprised everyone when it actually made money at the Us Box Office on it’s release last month. Well now the suckage is coming to the UK and to prove it here’s two new UK posters – quad and one-sheet – for the film which stars Ken Jeong, Matt Lanter, Chris Riggi, Crista Flanagan & Jenn Proske.

Vampires Suck is a comedy about contemporary teen angst and romance movies. Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca’s friends contend with their own romantic issues – all of which collide at the prom.

Vampires Suck is released in the UK on October 15th.

Vampires Suck came out in the Us a few weeks ago but here in the UK still have a little while to wait to see this spoof vampire movie hit our big screens. The movie basically uses Twilight: New Moon, Twilight: Eclipse etc and spends it’s 82 minute runtime mocking the entire saga! What’s not to like?!

It’s set for release 15th October ready for Haloween and stars Ken Jeong (The Hangover & Role Models), Matt Lanter (Robert Pattinson spoof) , Chris Riggi (Taylor Lautner Spoof ), Crista Flanagan (of the Mad Men variety), Jenn Proske (Kristen Stewart spoof) and is directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltze.

The peak season of movie in a year, when Hollywood studios are unleashing what can be called their "master pieces", has just passed. However, despite beautiful promises offered in the promotions, some of the films turned out to be disappointing.

Most of these underperforming movies still pulled in big money for the studios and debuted high at domestic box office. But these did not come along with good quality since they received negative critiques. To give a short review on films that failed to meet people's expectations, AceShowbiz presents a list of 2010 Sloppy Summer Movies.

Sex and the City 2

Opening weekend gross: $31 million

Carrie Bradshaw and her gal pals used to charm people with their high-class style, smartness and funniness, but "Sex and the City 2" is just like a fashion catalogue and less focused on its characters. The story is flat and too ordinary, with no quite complications during the almost one-and-a-half hour.

I just got back from seeing it,and I thought it was pretty funny. Some of the jokes were lame,so I can see how the top critics gave it some pretty negative reviews. However it wasn't entirely bad as it did deliver some pretty funny spoofs for the "Twilight Saga" movies. "Vampires Suck" movie revolved around character Becca (Jenn Proske), which was a spoof on the Twilight Saga Bella character. Jenn Proske, Matt Lanter, Vampires Suck Either the Twilight Saga spoof Vampires Suck or the Sylvester Stallone actioner The Expendables was the top movie at the North American box office on Friday, Aug. 20, according to Nikki Finke at Deadline.com. Either one may be the weekend’s winner as well — a very weak weekend, if I may add, despite five new major releases, none of which is expected to gross more than $15m. (Note: Vampires Suck actually opened on Wednesday.) A consensus may be reached on Saturday morning when studios announce their official Friday estimates. But then again, those official estimates will have to be readjusted when final weekend figures are released on Monday. According to rough, early estimates found at Deadline, Vampires Suck collected $5m on Friday. Weekend total is expected to hover around $14.5m. Right behind it was The Expendables with $4.8m and about $14.5m for the weekend.

Top critics gave new Vampires Suck movie very negative reviews. 20th Century Fox released their new spoof vampire comedy flick "Vampires Suck" into theaters this past Wednesday,and the top movie critics were none too impressed with it,giving it mostly negative D ratings. The movie stars: Matt Lanter, Emily Brobst, Jenn Proske, Chris Riggi, Krystal Mayo, Crista Flanagan, Ken Jeong, Arielle Kebbel, and Devon Kelly. Natalie Southwick at the Boston Globe gave it a D rating. She said, "Non-Twilight fans would be better off surfing YouTube." Matt Stevens at E! online gave it a D+. He said, "What sucks more than vampires? Lame, lazy movie parodies aimed at attention-deficient tweens."...

Now then, I am all for parodies when they poke fun at something that has taken over the world to such a destructive degree that Twilight-mania has swept over all of us, so the newest addition to the spoof-genre that brought us such atrocities as Epic Movie and Superhero Movie wasn’t quite as unwelcome as the majority of its generic predecessors.

And it seems I wasn’t the only one to think that way, as Variety have now confirmed that Vampires Suck has posted figures of $4m for its midweek opening night across 2,978 locations.

The film is an unashamed spoof of the Twilight series, as well as other films and franchises that have reared their heads in the wake of Stephenie Meyer’s success, and stars Jenn Proske, Matt Lanter and Diedrich Bader.

First, the good news: Vampires Suck is not as bad as 2008's astonishingly wretched spoof, Disaster Movie, from the worst directors with major studio support, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.

Now the bad news: Disaster Movie is one of the absolute worst films ever made. Without question, it's the bottom of the barrel among Friedberg-Seltzer productions, and that's quite an accomplishment. Seriously, thank yourself repeatedly for having the good sense to not see Disaster Movie.

This does not mean Vampires Suck is a film you should rush out to see. On the contrary, none of these flicks - and Seltzer and Friedberg began directing the Fox spoofs, originally led by the halfway decent Scary Movie, with 2006's Date Movie - are worth your time. Nor were they apparently worth the time...

A movie spoof of the "Twilight" franchise has become a big hit at the U.S. box office - "Vampires Suck" debuted at the top of the midweek box office list, ahead of "The Expendables" and Julia Roberts' "Eat, Pray, Love".

The movie, which features Jenn Proske and Matt Lanter as Becca Crane and Edward Sullen, has shot to the top of the film charts, scoring more than $4 million from first-day receipts on Wednesday, August 18. The film will compete with new releases "Lottery Ticket", "The Switch", "Piranha 3-D" and "Nanny McPhee Returns", the "Nanny McPhee" sequel which all launch on Friday, August 20.

However, early indications suggest Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables" will stay at the top of the box office charts for a second week.

It doesn’t seem to matter what type of vampire movie it is these days, when it hits the theaters it goes straight to the top.

I approached the old, scuzzy mega-mall AMC with all the enthusiasm of a prisoner on the Bataan Death March. I forced myself to make entry, found a seat, hung my head, and tried to ignore the fine aromas of old gym socks and urine that always seem to permeate old scuzzy mega-mall theaters such as this one. Is it bad? Of course it's bad. And I'm sorry. Because of the nature of our site, we have to pay for every film we see. And I put money in the pockets of Aaron Seltzer and Jason Freidberg. Jason Friedberg and Adam Seltzer have made their careers from slapping together spoofs that poorly parody everything from large scale adventures (Epic Movie) to world destruction (Disaster Movie) with obvious references and headlines torn from tabloids. Zap2it had a great time with "90210's" Matt Lanter (who plays Liam) after his interview on The Ktla News Morning Show. In his new movie, "Vampire Sucks," premiering Wednesday (August 18), he rejoins Writer/Director team of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, who he did "Disaster Movie" with. He told us that despite the new film being a spoof, "Twilight" fans will probably get a kick out of it.

"A lot of our scenes are kind of ripped right out of 'Twilight' in just these funnier, quirkier, wacky situations," Lanter says. "So, 'Twilight' fans are the ones who will actually get the jokes."

He tells us that while the film primarily spoofs "Twilight," it does do some take-offs of pop culture (cough, "Jersey Shore"). He also tells us that close pal, Nina Dobrev of "The Vampire Diaries," asked if the film spoofs her show and back then, he said no.

Few days away from the U.S. release, "Vampires Suck" has brought forward some new sneak peeks. Three B-Roll from the film have hit the web, showing the making of some scenes such as the ones in Edward's house where Becca's finger bleeds and a delivery boy is thrown to female bloodsuckers.

Parodying scenes from "Twilight" films, the upcoming film follows Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, who is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca's friends contend with their own romantic issues - all of which collide at the prom.
