When Robert Pattinson first sank his teeth into the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight, the world couldn’t get enough of him. Of course, we can’t blame them—who wouldn’t be swayed by a sparkly vampire who ended up winning over Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart)?
The acclaimed franchise didn’t just shoot Pattinson and his then-girlfriend Kristen Stewart to Hollywood stardom; it also cooked up the ‘Robsten’ phenomenon, serving up endless laughs and drama. Their off-screen drama was arguably as intense as their on-screen chemistry.

But while fans were busy swooning, Pattinson himself was far from starry-eyed about the cultural juggernaut. Since the franchise’s debut in 2008, the actor has been anything but a cheerleader for his vampiric alter ego, consistently expressing his distaste for both the role and the plotlines derived from Stephenie Meyer’s novels.

After arriving on the set of Transformers prequel Bumblebee, actor Stephen Schneider instantly hit it off with costar Pamela Adlon.
“We became buddies. After the table read she gave me her phone number so we could connect off-set,” Schneider tells People exclusively of his friendship with the Better Things actress. “Later that day I texted her — she didn’t have my number. I texted her, ‘Hey Pam, Just wanted to let you know, I just watched the table read via satellite, you were phenomenal. Also, I’m a huge fan of your show. This is Steven Spielberg.’”

Twilight parody trailer: Twiharder (image: John Gearries and Tanya Zoeller in Twiharder) [See previous post: "Twilight Parody vs. Lionsgate and Summit: $500 Million Lawsuit."] Say what you will about the productions values found in (or missing from) the Twiharder clip below, but you must admit that in the first scene leading lady Tanya Zoeller does a really good imitation of Kristen Stewart’s voice and mannerisms (e.g., lip-biting). And I gotta admit that I found kinda kinky-funny watching Christopher Sean’s use of his abs to stop the bleeding on the forehead of Zoeller’s Stella Pond. Edward Cullen parodist John Gearries, for his part, does a pretty good imitation of John Gilbert in His Glorious Night, repeating "I love you" ad nauseam. Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly’s Singin’ in the Rain, by the way, had Kelly parodying John Gilbert in that early talkie. Now, why didn’t anyone try to stop them? Well, a key reason is that the...

Jo (Sela ward) is thrown against a mirror and hovers between consciousness, as a man walks around the room, which we know can only be Curtis (Jason Wiles) and throws bullets around. 48 hours earlier Jo spots a man outside the courtroom, who is revealed as Frank (Michael Weston). Serena (Jenn Proske) is distraught over Curtis walking free. Jo is adamant they will get him. The Senator (Jeffrey Nordling) asks how she can say that. Jo isn't involved in the case and "the case still fell apart." That's a damning indictment against Lindsay (Anna Belknap) and her skills if ever there was one, ha. 3 years ago Washington DC, a flashback to Jo meeting the Senator and Serena. He doesn't want any press involvement that's why he called in the FBI. Serena was drinking and blames herself. Sela Ward Co-Worker Drama Cast for CSI: NY
CSI: NY has turned to Michael Weston to play a former co-worker of Jo (Sela Ward) for an episode airing November 18. Weston will be playing Frank, an FBI crime lab agent and Jo’s partner before she the left Washington and the Bureau. To spice up the drama just a smidge, Jo wasn’t on the best of terms with Frank before she departed.
TV Guide reports that Frank and Jo worked on a rape case just before she left. Frank made a mistake while processing evidence and Jo couldn’t keep quiet on the mistake. This resulted in the rapist, John Curtis (Jason Wiles), getting off scot-free. Now in the present, Curtis is at it again, this time in New York, and Frank pays Jo a visit. Let’s hope he’s not too bitter. On top of that, Sen. Matthews...

Angry Senator after Sela Ward in CSI: NY Season 8
Actress Sela Ward has made a senator pretty darn angry, but don’t worry; that’s just what takes place on camera for CSI: NY’s eighth season. Behind the scenes there’s a warm reunion happening between Ward and a former co-star of ABC’s Once and Again. Jeffery Nordling played Ward’s ex-husband Jake on the series, which ended in 2002. Now he’ll be guest starring on CSI: NY as the aforementioned senator.
EW reports that Nordling’s U.S. senator is furious with Jo (Ward) for how a rape case involving his daughter (played by Jenn Proske) was handled. When the rapist is arrested again for a separate crime, the senator lays down the pressure to ensure the man who raped his daughter doesn’t get away again. The issue won’t be resolved very quickly however, as...

Could another Twilight spoof movie be on the way? Evidently so. Variety, when reporting on the plans for a new production company, Stonebrook International, mentioned that its "Cannes lineup turns around genre, including [a] 'Twilight'/vampire movie spoof 'Bite Me' . . ."
Indeed, you're probably already aware that the first full-length theatrical film spoofing the Twilight Saga was last year's Vampires Suck, starring Matt Lanter, Jenn Proske, Diedrich Bader, and Ken Jeong. With a production budget estimated at $20 million, Vampires Suck brought in $80 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. So, it was certainly not a wash.
Details are slim on what Bite Me will focus on. The IMDb page for a 2011 film called Bite Me: The Movie offers the following description:
It's 1988 and A.C. is one of the coolest guys of the decade. But behind his trendy looks, expensive cloths, and cool demeanor he is secretly a mega-geek...

The future of "Two and a Half Men" is, let's say, cloudy at the moment.
If we had to guess right now, we'd say that the show, which is currently the most-watched comedy on TV, will be back in some form -- with or without Charlie Sheen -- for 2011-12. CBS will announce its lineup for next season in mid-May, which means the network, Warner Bros. TV, creators Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn and Sheen have about two and a half months to figure out what happens next.
But what if the worst-case scenario for CBS happens and "Men" doesn't come back at all?
Yes, the network would probably suffer some in the ratings -- but it would probably also come out Ok. CBS also has the No. 2 and 3 comedies in terms of viewers in "The Big Bang Theory" and "Mike & Molly"; both shows are also in the Top 25 this...

We bring you whole boatload of pilot casting news, including Jenna Elfman eyeing another sitcom and Christina Ricci considering her first full-time series role.
Elfman, who starred in CBS' "Accidentally on Purpose" last season, is talking with ABC about starring in its comedy pilot "Bad Mom." The former "Dharma & Greg" star will play a single mother who has previously left much of the child-rearing burden to her own mom, then has to take on those responsibilities when grandma finally says no. [Deadline]
Ricci, meanwhile, is in negotiations for another ABC pilot, "Pan Am." She would play a flight attendant in the drama about the men and women who worked for the titular airline in the 1960s. Ricci has dabbled in series TV before, guesting on "Saving Grace," "Grey's Anatomy" and upcoming episodes of "CSI," but this would be her first regular role on a show. [Hollywood Reporter]

It's been a tradition for over thirty years: the day before Hollywood celebrates its best at the Academy Awards a bunch of fanatical movie lovers gather to roast its worst at the Golden Raspberry Awards. Founded in 1981 by John Wilson, the Razzies, as they're more commonly known, are dedicated to 'giving the raspberry' to the most shameful and soulless travesties the movie industry has foisted upon us in a given year.
Though their intentions to dishonor crummy movies are honorable, like any award-bestowing body, the Razzies don't always get it right. Literally anybody with $35 bucks can join and vote, which means that hypothetically somebody in the movie business with a chip on his shoulder and some cash to burn could easily buy a couple thousand votes and screw with people he didn't like (look for more of that story that in my soon-to-be-Razzie-nominated screenplay "Razzmatazz," coming soon to a discount...

The Twilight franchise is ripe for satire and should be great fodder for a film to make fun of it. This is Not that film. Those responsible for several unfunny such films take a crack at the sparkly vampire genre and they still aren.t funny. In fact, they suck. Becca Crane (Jenn Proske) moves in with her father, Sheriff Frank (Diedrich Bader), when her mother starts an affair with Tiger Woods. She starts school and is intrigued by Edward Sullen (Matt Lanter). When she.s nearly run down by a van in the parking lot, Edward rushes in to save her with seemingly supernatural powers and is forced to admit that he is a vampire. He eventually introduces her...

"Vampires Suck" is the latest from the guys who unthankfully brought us "Date Movie, "Epic Movie," and pretty much every big-screen spoof the past few years. In "Vampires Suck," now on Blu-ray and DVD, they take on the increasingly ridiculous "Twilight" series, including Edward's disco ball glittering skin and Jacob's transformation to menacing Chihuahua.
But while the movie was expectedly slammed, star Jenn Proske hit all the right notes as Becca Crane, the object of affection of both Edward and Jacob's characters. She picked up all of Kristen Stewart's tics and great reviews for her first major film role (one review was titled "Vampires Suck ....(Jenn Proske Doesn't)." Proske talked to Cns about watching the "Twilight" films over 100 times, sporting lingerie on screen, and even jello wrestling.
Cns: The movie doesn't actually stray too far from the Twilight films because… they can be pretty ridiculous on their own.
Jenn Proske: Yeah,...

The Twilight Saga is sent up in Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg’s latest spoof, Vampires Suck. Here’s Mark’s review…
Spoof veterans Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg set their sights on The Twilight Saga with Vampires Suck, their latest low budget comedy movie.
Becca Crane moves to the sleepy town of Sporks and finds herself torn between two men. There's sparkling vampire Edward, whose commitment issues stem from his bloodsucking family trying to eat his prospective girlfriends, and his dogged rival for her affections, Jacob. Hilarity ensues on a rollercoaster through pop culture and teenage vampire relationships.
Oh, I should probably mention at this point in the review that Vampires Suck is utter dogshit. Surprise!
I think, to some extent, the world has been waiting for a decent Twilight spoof, but boy, this is not it. Hell, if the real films were intended as satire, they'd be lauded...

Compared to this appalling spoof, Twilight is a work of genius, writes Peter Bradshaw
The last time I heard a film audience in such a state of silence was during Ingmar Bergman's Winter Light. Jason Friedman and Aaron Seltzer have specialised in genre spoofs such as Date Movie, Disaster Movie and Meet the Spartans, and now they're back with a desperately, almost fanatically unfunny version of the Twilight franchise. It's the kind of satire that could be renamed "parasitire": a movie that tries to siphon off some of the box-office cash with what is effectively a humourless knock off, a line-by-line, moment-by-moment, mickey-take without jokes – or at least very few. Matt Lanter plays Edward Sullen, the pale teen-vampire hottie, and Jenn Proske does what I admit is a nifty impression of Kristen Stewart, playing Becca, the glum girl who falls in love with him but can't have sex...

Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer’s Vampires Suck surprised everyone when it actually made money at the Us Box Office on it’s release last month. Well now the suckage is coming to the UK and to prove it here’s two new UK posters – quad and one-sheet – for the film which stars Ken Jeong, Matt Lanter, Chris Riggi, Crista Flanagan & Jenn Proske.
Vampires Suck is a comedy about contemporary teen angst and romance movies. Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca’s friends contend with their own romantic issues – all of which collide at the prom.

Vampires Suck came out in the Us a few weeks ago but here in the UK still have a little while to wait to see this spoof vampire movie hit our big screens. The movie basically uses Twilight: New Moon, Twilight: Eclipse etc and spends it’s 82 minute runtime mocking the entire saga! What’s not to like?!
It’s set for release 15th October ready for Haloween and stars Ken Jeong (The Hangover & Role Models), Matt Lanter (Robert Pattinson spoof) , Chris Riggi (Taylor Lautner Spoof ), Crista Flanagan (of the Mad Men variety), Jenn Proske (Kristen Stewart spoof) and is directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltze.
Check out the trailer for the movie that we’ve posted previously here.

The peak season of movie in a year, when Hollywood studios are unleashing what can be called their "master pieces", has just passed. However, despite beautiful promises offered in the promotions, some of the films turned out to be disappointing.
Most of these underperforming movies still pulled in big money for the studios and debuted high at domestic box office. But these did not come along with good quality since they received negative critiques. To give a short review on films that failed to meet people's expectations, AceShowbiz presents a list of 2010 Sloppy Summer Movies.
Sex and the City 2
Opening weekend gross: $31 million
Carrie Bradshaw and her gal pals used to charm people with their high-class style, smartness and funniness, but "Sex and the City 2" is just like a fashion catalogue and less focused on its characters. The story is flat and too ordinary, with no quite complications during the almost one-and-a-half hour.

Matt Lanter as Edward Sullen in Vampires Suck Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables Remains on Top: Weak Weekend at Box Office Early non-official estimates had Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer‘s Twilight Saga spoof Vampires Suck running neck and neck with Sylvester Stallone‘s The Expendables, but that proved to be inaccurate. At no. 2, Vampires Suck drew $12.2m (vs. $16.5m for The Expendables), totaling $18.56m after five days, according to studio estimates found at Box Office Mojo. The film’s per-theater average was a none-too-exciting $3,774 at 3,223 locations. Starring Jenn Proske (as Kristen Stewart‘s human), Matt Lanter (as Robert Pattinson‘s vampire), and Chris Riggi (as Taylor Lautner‘s werewolf), Vampires Suck has one advantage over The Expendables: its low cost. After five days out, the Regency Enterprises/20th Century Fox comedy has nearly matched its $20m budget. Note: Vampires Suck no. 2 position is iffy, as the Julia Roberts...

Vampires Suck
Directed by: Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer
Cast: Jenn Proske, Matt Lanter, Diedrich Bader, Ken Jeong
Running Time: 1 hr 40 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: August 18, 2010
Plot: A spoof of the films Twilight and New Moon from The Twilight Saga.
Who’S It For? The Twilight saga has already made itself into an inside joke that has been learned by heart by millions and millions. (Even the “Aristocrats” joke welcomes a fan to imagine the scenario however they may want.) Vampires Suck comes from “guys who couldn’t sit through another vampire movie,” but it wholly plays into the fad, and to the audience that has Edward Cullen throw pillows, etc.
Overall
Oh, the embarrassment. Yes, I have seen Meet the Spartans, another movie from this diabolical directing duo that embrace all elements that are wrong with mainstream comedy. It shames me to say that Vampires Suck, their...

Vampires Suck movie delivered funny Twilight Saga spoofs & more. 20th Century Fox released their new spoof/comedy flick "Vampires Suck" into theaters this weekend. I just got back from seeing it,and I thought it was pretty funny. Some of the jokes were lame,so I can see how the top critics gave it some pretty negative reviews. However it wasn't entirely bad as it did deliver some pretty funny spoofs for the "Twilight Saga" movies. It stars: Matt Lanter, Emily Brobst, Jenn Proske, Chris Riggi, Krystal Mayo, Crista Flanagan, Ken Jeong, Arielle Kebbel, and Devon Kelly. "Vampires Suck" movie revolved around character Becca (Jenn Proske), which was a spoof on the Twilight Saga Bella character. She eventually meets Jacob, then Edward, but his name is Edward Sullen instead of Cullen. Becca and Edward go through the same scenes as the Twilight movies accept they have a little spoofy twist to them.

Sylvester Stallone, Giselle Itié, The Expendables (top); werewolf pack in Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer‘s Vampires Suck Sylvester Stallone‘s violent actioner The Expendables was the top movie at the North American box office on Friday, according to studio estimates found at Box Office Mojo. Early non-official estimates had the Twilight Saga spoof Vampires Suck as the top film. Featuring Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Expendables took in $4.95m, down a whopping 63% from a week ago. Yet, Stallone’s throwback to the bloody ’80s managed to pass the $50m milestone. Total to date: $53.3m. Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer‘s Vampires Suck scored $4.42m in second place. The comedy stars Jenn Proske (as Kristen Stewart‘s human), Matt Lanter (as Robert Pattinson‘s vampire), and Chris Riggi (as Taylor Lautner‘s werewolf). The jury is still out as to whether...

Jenn Proske, Matt Lanter, Vampires Suck Either the Twilight Saga spoof Vampires Suck or the Sylvester Stallone actioner The Expendables was the top movie at the North American box office on Friday, Aug. 20, according to Nikki Finke at Deadline.com. Either one may be the weekend’s winner as well — a very weak weekend, if I may add, despite five new major releases, none of which is expected to gross more than $15m. (Note: Vampires Suck actually opened on Wednesday.) A consensus may be reached on Saturday morning when studios announce their official Friday estimates. But then again, those official estimates will have to be readjusted when final weekend figures are released on Monday. According to rough, early estimates found at Deadline, Vampires Suck collected $5m on Friday. Weekend total is expected to hover around $14.5m. Right behind it was The Expendables with $4.8m and about $14.5m for the weekend.

Vampires Suck movie trailer makes hardcore fun of Twilight Saga. 20th Century Fox released their crazy new Twilight Saga spoof comedy flick "Vampires Suck" into theaters today, and the movie trailer (below) looks extremely hilarious as it spoofs the hell out of the popular "Twilight Saga" movies with hysterically funny scenes. It stars: Matt Lanter, Emily Brobst, Jenn Proske, Chris Riggi, Krystal Mayo, Crista Flanagan, Ken Jeong, Arielle Kebbel, and Devon Kelly.

Top critics gave new Vampires Suck movie very negative reviews. 20th Century Fox released their new spoof vampire comedy flick "Vampires Suck" into theaters this past Wednesday, and the top movie critics were none too impressed with it,giving it mostly negative D ratings. The movie stars: Matt Lanter, Emily Brobst, Jenn Proske, Chris Riggi, Krystal Mayo, Crista Flanagan, Ken Jeong, Arielle Kebbel, and Devon Kelly. Natalie Southwick at the Boston Globe gave it a D rating. She said, "Non-Twilight fans would be better off surfing YouTube." Matt Stevens at E! online gave it a D+. He said, "What sucks more than vampires? Lame, lazy movie parodies aimed at attention-deficient tweens."...

Now then, I am all for parodies when they poke fun at something that has taken over the world to such a destructive degree that Twilight-mania has swept over all of us, so the newest addition to the spoof-genre that brought us such atrocities as Epic Movie and Superhero Movie wasn’t quite as unwelcome as the majority of its generic predecessors.
And it seems I wasn’t the only one to think that way, as Variety have now confirmed that Vampires Suck has posted figures of $4m for its midweek opening night across 2,978 locations.
The film is an unashamed spoof of the Twilight series, as well as other films and franchises that have reared their heads in the wake of Stephenie Meyer’s success, and stars Jenn Proske, Matt Lanter and Diedrich Bader.

Vampires Suck
Starring Jenn Proske, Matt Lanter, and Chris Riggi
Directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer
Rated PG-13
First, the good news: Vampires Suck is not as bad as 2008's astonishingly wretched spoof, Disaster Movie, from the worst directors with major studio support, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.
Now the bad news: Disaster Movie is one of the absolute worst films ever made. Without question, it's the bottom of the barrel among Friedberg-Seltzer productions, and that's quite an accomplishment. Seriously, thank yourself repeatedly for having the good sense to not see Disaster Movie.
This does not mean Vampires Suck is a film you should rush out to see. On the contrary, none of these flicks - and Seltzer and Friedberg began directing the Fox spoofs, originally led by the halfway decent Scary Movie, with 2006's Date Movie - are worth your time. Nor were they apparently worth the time...

A movie spoof of the "Twilight" franchise has become a big hit at the U.S. box office - "Vampires Suck" debuted at the top of the midweek box office list, ahead of "The Expendables" and Julia Roberts' "Eat, Pray, Love".
The movie, which features Jenn Proske and Matt Lanter as Becca Crane and Edward Sullen, has shot to the top of the film charts, scoring more than $4 million from first-day receipts on Wednesday, August 18. The film will compete with new releases "Lottery Ticket", "The Switch", "Piranha 3-D" and "Nanny McPhee Returns", the "Nanny McPhee" sequel which all launch on Friday, August 20.
However, early indications suggest Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables" will stay at the top of the box office charts for a second week.

Is it bad? Of course it's bad. And I'm sorry. Because of the nature of our site, we have to pay for every film we see. And I put money in the pockets of Aaron Seltzer and Jason Freidberg. Which means they'll be able to crap out more Movie Movies. I didn't need to see this film to know it was going to be fucking terrible. Why wouldn't it be fucking terrible? Someone pointed a camera at this, and those someones were Seltzer and Freidberg. I thought about not going to see it: just cutting and pasting completely random lines from the reviews of Eclipse, New Moon, and Twilight from our site and from other sites and calling it a review. But then, I realized, I wouldn't be doing my job. So I went. And that was my mistake. Because as a film reviewer, I'm supposed to review films. And...

I laughed out loud exactly one time in Vampires Suck, in a scene where the vampire Edward is hovering over his sleeping love Becca and she farts loudly in his face. I’m not proud to have found that funny but at least I can report that Vampires Suck is not a completely laugh-free comedy. Vampires Suck is from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the same hacks who unleashed Disaster Movie, Date Movie and Meet The Spartans, a trio of spoofs so witless and lame that if they had one laugh-out-loud moment between the three of them, I missed it. This time they’ve set their sites on the Twilight trilogy, a series I haven’t seen so not only were my expectations low in terms of laughs, but I fully expected many of the gags to go over my head. The best thing I can say about Vampires Suck...

Jason Friedberg and Adam Seltzer have made their careers from slapping together spoofs that poorly parody everything from large scale adventures (Epic Movie) to world destruction (Disaster Movie) with obvious references and headlines torn from tabloids. But even a ubiquitous genre ripe for a thorough skewering is too much for the pair, whose latest lazy effort, Vampires Suck, is as shamefully unfunny as the rest.
Instead of their usual scattershot approach to pop culture, the duo only musters a lazy retread of the first two Twilight movies that somehow manages to be painfully worse. Applying the same gloomy aesthetic and adolescent yearning (which they call “Hardwicke 101″), the spoof plods through the series’ familiar moments (drained of Twilight’s unintentional laughs), providing only over-explanation, bad impressions, and excessive pratfalls. Sketches typically start with the rocky romance of Becca (newcomer Jenn Proske) and Edward Sullen (Matt Lanter) before descending into slapstick violence,...

Zap2it had a great time with "90210's" Matt Lanter (who plays Liam) after his interview on The Ktla News Morning Show. In his new movie, "Vampire Sucks," premiering Wednesday (August 18), he rejoins Writer/Director team of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, who he did "Disaster Movie" with. He told us that despite the new film being a spoof, "Twilight" fans will probably get a kick out of it.
"A lot of our scenes are kind of ripped right out of 'Twilight' in just these funnier, quirkier, wacky situations," Lanter says. "So, 'Twilight' fans are the ones who will actually get the jokes."
He tells us that while the film primarily spoofs "Twilight," it does do some take-offs of pop culture (cough, "Jersey Shore"). He also tells us that close pal, Nina Dobrev of "The Vampire Diaries," asked if the film spoofs her show and back then, he said no.

Few days away from the U.S. release, "Vampires Suck" has brought forward some new sneak peeks. Three B-Roll from the film have hit the web, showing the making of some scenes such as the ones in Edward's house where Becca's finger bleeds and a delivery boy is thrown to female bloodsuckers.
Parodying scenes from "Twilight" films, the upcoming film follows Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, who is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca's friends contend with their own romantic issues - all of which collide at the prom.
This comedy about contemporary teen angst and romance movies is directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, and has Ken Jeong, Matt Lanter and Jenn Proske among the cast ensemble. 20th Century Fox will drop the film in theaters across the U.
