Jeannette Lara is a writer who has written on shows such as Alma's Way, Rainbow High, Santiago of the Seas and other upcoming projects. She was a finalist for the ScreenCraft 2019 Animated Competition and made Quarter Finalist for the 2016 Nicholls Fellowship in Screenwriting with her first original animated script she co-wrote with her writing partner Michael. J Beall, called Muse.
Jeannette often credits her love for storytelling to comic books and years of childhood play-acting with her Barbie dolls and action figures. She was also influenced by her exposure to Japanese anime and Disney feature animation during her six years living in Japan.
Prior to becoming a writer, she worked in production and development.
