Eric Hill was born on September 7, 1927 in Holloway, London, England. He was a writer, known for The Adventures of Spot (1987), Spot's Magical Christmas (1995) and It's Fun to Learn with Spot (1990). He was married to Gillian and Barbara. He died on June 6, 2014 in Templeton, California, USA.

Trivia (2)

He created the character Spot, a mischievous puppy, for his then-young son, Christopher. His books featured the lift-the-flap concept. He was a freelance designer and illustrator at the time.
