Erik Sords grew up in Shaker Heights, a suburb of Cleveland where he was very involved in his high school drama and theatre program. Erik attended Syracuse Universities acting conservatory for a year and a half before he moved out to Hollywood to begin his courier as an actor, screenwriter and producer. After working in a few feature films as an actor, he was hired by mentor George Shamieh, CEO of American Cinema international to learn about how to concept, produce and distribute film and television. After working with George and learning about the explosive international markets, Erik moved to China to learn Chinese and work in the film industry there. Erik studied Chinese at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou for 6 months before he moved to Beijing to continue acting and producing films. In Beijing Erik continued to study Chinese at the Beijing Language and Culture University and the Capital University of Business and economics where he completed a joint degree with Cleveland State University in liberal arts and a minor in economics. After graduating and spending 4 years in China, Erik decided to move back to L.A. to continue his courier as an actor, writer and producer of Film and Television.
