Pavel Hristov(I)

Pavel was born in Bulgaria in the late 70s , when Western culture was very limited by the censorship in the Eastern block. Inspired by his love for American, French and Italian comic books that his father was bringing back to him from his business travels, he focused on studying languages and creative writing from young age. After graduating from The University of Economics in his hometown in Bulgaria with a bachelors degree in International Business, he left for America to intern in airport hospitality business, where he learned important management skills. His love for storytelling brought him back to studying at the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School in Universal Studios Orlando, Florida. Here he found in his professors , established mentors in the VFX industry. Working closely with them he developed himself as a well rounded, creative and technical compositor. He freelanced on a very wide range of projects : biggest box office hits, animation franchises, video game cinematics, high end commercials , new video game announcement videos, stereoscopic conversions, highest frame rate and resolution stereo shot movie, title sequences, VR. The experience gained on projects like Man of Steel, Guardians of the Galaxy, Edge of Tomorrow , Pacific Rim led to recognition for his talent for art direction and look development. Voting member of The Visual Effects Society. Chasing interesting projects, and opportunities to lead small teams of artists led to living and working in New York, LA, Vancouver, London, Beijing, Bangkok, Gran Canaria, Budapest (also Florida, New Mexico, Louisiana).
