Joana Pires is an Australian actor from Melbourne, Victoria. Joana first began acting at the age of 9 and went on to star in numerous stage, film and television roles. In 2012, Joana landed the role of the infamous Raimunda De Castro in Bafta award winning and Emmy nominated television miniseries Mrs. Biggs. In 2013, Joana appeared in the Australian feature film Healing, starring Hugo Weaving and Don Hany. Joana is also trained in the Afro-Brazilian martial art Capoeira and has a 4th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
