Lego Movie 2 Holiday Short Spreads Christmas Cheer Across Apocalypseburg

Lego Movie 2 Holiday Short Spreads Christmas Cheer Across Apocalypseburg
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part holiday short brings a giant Christmas tree to Apocalypseburg. In a clever form of marketing, the studio has released the short holiday special to promote the highly anticipated sequel, which hits theaters early next year. Chris Pratt's Emmet decides that Apocalypseburg needs some Christmas cheer, so he sets up a huge holiday party, complete with a festive tree that can be seen from space. Elizabeth Banks' Lucy isn't so sure about the whole plan, but everything works out in the end.

Will Arnett's Batman can be seen ice skating, drinking eggnog and complaining about his ugly Christmas sweater not having the correct amount of abs, while Jonah Hill's Green Lantern helps to light the Christmas tree. Alison Brie's Princess Unikitty even gets in on the fun by barfing up some glitter on to the tree. The Lego Movie

Watch: A Funny Holiday Short for 'The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

"Time to light it up, kid." Warner Bros has debuted a funny short film for the holidays in promotion of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, the sequel to the wildly successful and highly acclaimed original The Lego Movie released in 2014. This short is about Emmet Brickowski putting together a holiday party in their Apocalypse-berge city, which (not-so-subtly) is hinted at in this short, will end up attracting their next foe. This time around, the citizens must fight off Duplo invaders from outer space. The main voice cast for The Lego Movie 2 includes Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Stephanie Beatriz, Elizabeth Banks, Channing Tatum, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Jonah Hill, and Tiffany Haddish. We also recently featured the second trailer for this animated sequel, so this is just some extra icing on the cake. Plus I don't think of the footage from this short will end up in the finished movie anyway.

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine': Jake Goes Full John McClane-‘Die Hard’ in First NBC Trailer (Video)
What the hell is Andy Samberg doing? “Something magnificent, that’s what.”

In the first NBC trailer for Season 6 of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” Jake Peralta (Samberg) is living out his life-long dream of becoming an action hero. And (in his mind) he’s even more amazing than John McClane in “Die Hard.”

The one-minute, 45-second promo for the former Fox comedy’s first year on its new network sees the world’s biggest “Die Hard” fan coming to the Nine-Nine’s rescue, by sending Terry (Terry Crews), Amy (Melissa Fumero) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) repelling off the roof of a building that’s about to explode, as Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) and Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) look on in amazement.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Trailer: Watch Jake Live out his Die Hard Fantasy!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine will make the leap from Fox to NBC on January 10, and the show's new network is going all out with the promotional campaign.

NBC dropped the official trailer for Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 and it finds Jake (Andy Samberg) starring in his very own action movie, and he's the leading man.

If you watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine online, you know that Jake has long been a fan of Die Hard, so this is the perfect way to help get those fans talking as the show prepares for its big move.

The show's signature wit is heavily present in the trailer which finds Jake, Amy (Melissa Fumero), Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz), and Terry (Terry Crews) with little options when they are stuck on top of a roof.

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Trailer: Andy Samberg Gets Into Action Hero Mode For New Season At NBC

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Trailer: Andy Samberg Gets Into Action Hero Mode For New Season At NBC
Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is finally living out his dreams of becoming an action hero. In one of the new trailers for the sixth season of the Fox-turned-NBC comedy, Peralta goes full John McClane to save the day…sort of.

The new trailer is one of three that will debut today — with one of them airing during NBC’s Sunday night NFL game between the L.A. Rams and Chicago Bears. The trailer is a blatant celebration of Peralta and action movie tropes as he and the members of the Nine-Nine attempt to escape an exploding building. Of course, Peralta saves the day as his colleagues cheer “Jake!” from below and he jumps from the top of the building to a helicopter as it explodes in a blaze of glory. Cut to: the precinct. In the above video, Jake (Andy Samberg), Amy (Melissa Fumero), Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) and Terry (Terry Crews) find themselves stuck on the roof of a high-rise, which is set to detonate at any moment. Brooklyn Nine-Nine Cast Previews Amy's #MeToo Episode: 'You See a Side of Her That You've Never Seen Before'
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is moving forward with a #MeToo storyline in Season 6. The episode, which is focused on Melissa Fumero’s Amy, marks the directorial debut of Fumero’s co-star, Stephanie Beatriz.

“I’ve never done an episode like this,” Fumero tells TVLine. “You see a side of her that you’ve never seen before.”

For Fumero, having Beatriz at the helm was especially important given the material at hand. “I think it would have been nerve-wracking if it had been someone else, or someone I didn’t know,” she says. “It was really wonderful to have my friend directing, where we already have a shorthand…

Wacky ‘Lego Movie 2’ Trailer Introduces Chris Pratt as Rex Dangervest
Lunacy prevails in the new trailer for “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part,” with Chris Pratt returning to voice Master Builder Emmet Brickowski along with new character Rex Dangervest.

The footage show the unfailingly optimistic Emmet searching the galaxy for Lucy — aka Wyldstyle — (voiced by Elizabeth Banks) after her abduction by a malevolent, alien force. The super-confident Rex saves Emmet’s life after he strays into a meteor shower.

Rex introduces himself thusly: “The name’s Rex Dangervest! — Galaxy-defending archaeologist, cowboy, and raptor trainer!”

Pratt has played all those characters in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “The Magnificent Seven,” and “Jurassic World,” respectively. He agrees to help Emmet save Lucy, but warns him about going to Sis-Star System, ruled by Tiffany Haddish’s shapeshifting Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi.

“You don’t want to go anywhere near the Sis-Star System! It’s ruled by an alien queen. Only the toughest are

‘The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part’ Trailer: Can Emmet Rescue Lucy From The Evil Queen?

  • Deadline
‘The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part’ Trailer: Can Emmet Rescue Lucy From The Evil Queen?
“Once, everything was awesome,” Wildstyle broods. “Now everything is bleak.” That opening line from the new trailer for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part might trigger some parents who endured “Everything Is Awesome” on daylong replay — possibly while contorted into the fetal position — but it sets up the premise for the sequel to that 2014 toon.

Happy-go-lucky Emmet Brickowski (Chris Pratt) thinks he’s just doing a good deed when he facilitates the kidnapping of Lucy/Wildstyle (Elizabeth Banks) by the vile General Mayhem (franchise newcomer Stephanie Beatriz). As Beastie Boys’ “Intergalactic” launches, Emmet blames himself — as he should — and knows he must save her from Mayhem’s evil clutches. But how?

Just as it looks like the end for our hero amid an asteroid field, he is saved by meteorologist/cowboy/raptor trailer Rex Dangervest (also Pratt). They team for the rescue but must venture into the Sistar System,

New ‘Lego Movie 2’ Trailer Sees Chris Pratt Tickle a Lego Raptor (Video)

New ‘Lego Movie 2’ Trailer Sees Chris Pratt Tickle a Lego Raptor (Video)
What more do you want from the sequel to “The Lego Movie?” How about intergalactic space horses voiced by Tiffany Haddish? Or maybe Chris Pratt voicing a new character, Rex Dangervest, “Galaxy defending archeologist, cowboy and raptor trainer” (sounds like a quick glance at Pratt’s filmography)? We even get to see his character tickle a raptor made out of legos. We bet you didn’t see that in “Jurassic World!”

Well, “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” is stacked with all of those missing pieces. The latest trailer for the film shows Emmet blasting off into space in order to rescue Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) after she’s captured by an invading alien named Sweet Mayhem.

“Emmet, did you draw stubble dots on your face,” Wyldstyle asks as Emmet tries to look tough like Dangervest.
