Jacob is the Founder of Screenwriting Staffing, an online screenwriting community that connects screenplays and writers with film and television industry buyers and employers. Over the last 9 years, he has facilitated over 275 sales, options, writing jobs, and representation, including highly successful projects such as Hallmark Channel's 'Bramble House Christmas' (Starring Autumn Reeser), James Cullen Bressack's 'Deadly Reunion' (starring Sophia Dee), Pollen Path Entertainment's 'Captive' (starring Scout Taylor-Compton), Bondit Media Capitol's TV series 'Dystopia' (starring Michael Copon), and Bawn Media Group's TV series 'Cheetah in August' (Roku/Amazon). Screenwriting Staffing has a network of over 100K, including writers, directors, producers, actors, and agents.
Outside of his entrepreneurship, he is an international screenwriter and producer with over 15 years of industry experience. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from The Los Angeles Film School in Film/Television Entertainment Business, with a concentration in screenwriting and creative producing. His films have been screened in theaters worldwide and distributed traditionally through Blu-ray/DVD. Jacob has had an extraordinary amount of film festival success, with his movies being selected in over 70+ festivals, winning over 15 of them. While Jacob is based in the United States, he also works internationally.
Jacob has taught screenwriting and film professionally (or spearhead classes/seminars) at the Africa Digital Media Institute, Hollywood International Film Academy, Westinghouse Arts Academy Charter School (Pennsylvania), Buena High School (Arizona), Southern Ohio Film Association, and the FilmDayton Commission.
In 2015, he was head of the Screenplay Contest for the Cincinnati Film Festival. Other notable contests that he has judged or help organize include the Universe Multicultural Film Festival (California), San Diego International Kids' Film festival, Las Vegas International Film and Screenwriting Festival, Cincinnati 48 Hour Film Festival, Sierra Vista 48 Hour Film Festival, Golden Lion High School Film Festival, and Pepperdine ReelStories Film Festival. He has spoken on industry panels across North America alongside industry veterans such as Angelo Pizzo (Rudy, Hoosiers) and Mickey Fisher (Mars, Reverie).
Jacob is also a frequent contributor for top screenwriting/film publications, such as Final Draft, Creative Screenwriting Magazine, and MovieMaker Magazine, where he has interviewed some of Hollywood's top producers and directors, such as Stephanie Palmer (MGM executive) Scott M. Rosenfelt (Home Alone, Mystic Pizza) and Dennis Heaton (The Order, Ghost Wars).
