American Idol Recap: Girl Groups Rule the First Night of Hollywood Week

American Idol Recap: Girl Groups Rule the First Night of Hollywood Week
When you really break it down, American Idol‘s Hollywood Week is a lot like a trip to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

Think about it: An army of young dreamers show up with golden tickets in hand, then get pushed to their breaking points until only those with the purest of hearts remain. Honestly, if you told me that Ryan Seacrest is just a bunch of Oompa Loompas standing on each other’s shoulders in a skin-suit, I’d at least hear you out.

Sunday’s episode marked the beginning of Hollywood Week for the 169 singers remaining in Season

‘American Idol’ Recap: Auditions Bring ‘Chill Bumps,’ Puppy Love and Tearjerkers
On the fourth episode of “American Idol” auditions, country icon Kenny Rogers made a cameo appearance — in the form of advice learned and dispensed by judge Lionel Richie: “In pop music, you hit the right notes, while in country music you hit the real notes.”

Alas, plenty of wrong notes were also struck in one of the funniest episodes of the “Idol” reboot season. It was also the cutest show so far as birthday girl Katy Perry was surprised by fellow judges Richie, Luke Bryan and host Ryan Seacrest with cake and puppies. She was even gifted with a

Jessie J's bid to win a Chinese talent show is the best career move

The platinum selling pop singer recently signed up to compete in China’s Singer - a bizarre yet safe space in which she can be smothered in praise

Jessie J’s career launched with the bright embers of a blunt, fizzing away at the start of her debut video Do It Like a Dude. That song went platinum, as did her debut album, four times over. J quickly transformed into a household name, appearing as a judge on The Voice. But then things started to go tits up. Her second album was a relative flop and the press turned on her for being too full of herself. She complained that people didn’t “appreciate” her voice in the UK, and said she was going to move to the Us where, she promised the Daily Mail in a 2014 interview, she was taken seriously as a singer.

That briefly worked, with Bang Bang,

'Fifty Shades Freed' Leading Man Jamie Dornan Featured on Film's Soundtrack

Christian Grey can sing?

The official soundtrack listing for Fifty Shades Freed has been released and it appears Jamie Dornan is more than just the leading man in the movie.

The 35-year-old actor's name is attached to a bonus track on the soundtrack titled "Maybe I'm Amazed."

Dornan isn't the only star apparently both acting and singing in the sequel. Rita Ora -- who portrays Christian's sister, Mia Grey, in the erotic book-turned-movies -- collaborates with Liam Payne on the song "For You (Fifty Shades Freed)," which is the second song on the soundtrack.

Other familiar artists to lend their musical skills to the movie include Sia, Julia Michaels, Dua Lipa, Jessie J, Hailee Steinfeld, Ellie Goulding, Danny Elfman and Mike Snow.

Here's a look at the complete track listing:

1. "Capital Letters" – Hailee Steinfeld x BloodPop®

2. "For You (Fifty Shades Freed)" – Liam Payne and Rita Ora

3. "Sacrifice" – Black Atlass featuring Jessie Reyez

4. "High" – Whethan and Dua Lipa[p

The Voice Season 13 Finale Recap: Was the Right Singer Named the Winner?
Remember how, as Season 12 of The Voice drew to a close, there was actual suspense about whether Chris Blue or Lauren Duski would be named the winner? Season 13 hasn’t been like that. The Voice Recap: Def, Fun and Blind
Just once, wouldn’t you like to hear one of The Voice’s coaches tell a contestant, “No way you’re gonna make it through the Battles, but I hit my button before I realized, so why not join my team, anyway?” It didn’t happen in Tuesday’s Night 3 of Season 13’s Blind Auditions, and — let’s be as honest as the coaches can’t be — probably never will. But that doesn’t mean that you and I can’t appraise the performances with brutal candor. Shall we?
