Writer/Director Francis Mead is a former BBC journalist whose day job is making documentaries for the UN. He's filmed in many locations, including Iraq, Gaza, Russia, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Haiti, Central African Republic, Kenya, Somalia, Syria and Sri Lanka. He survived the terror bombing of the UN's Iraq headquarters in 2003 and is completing "The Promise," a thriller based on his experiences. His short drama "Fire Island," about a couple who can't make a decision, seven years into their relationship, is on the festival circuit.
