Jeremy Engle is a writer/director from New York City. After working as
a public high school teacher in East Harlem for 10 years, Jeremy broke
onto the film scene with the success of his first short film,
"Mosquito", a gritty coming of age story set in 1970's New York City.
The short went on to screen at festivals around the globe, including
Edinburgh, Oberhausen, Gijon and Seoul - and won the "Spirit of
Slamdance" Award". Jeremy is in pre-production on his first feature
film, The Teacher, about the struggles of an idealistic first-year
public high school teacher.
