Lauren Beatty is an award-winning Canadian actor, director, producer, singer, and sketch comedian. She is a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and tends to gravitate towards work made by, and created for her community.
In 2020, she co-founded Humblecore.ca a production company and content house producing abstract comedy sketches which have garnered attention at 'Toronto Sketch Fest' two years in a row. She is the co-host of 'Pod333' a podcast about aliens, spirituality, and being gay, and is the front-woman of Blush, a queer 90's inspired pop-punk band in Toronto. 'Soap', Beatty's sophomore short film which she co-wrote, co-produced, and stars in - is currently making its festival rounds worldwide in 2023, and was awarded 'Best LGBTQ Short' at Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles.
Her Film & TV credits include 'Pay The Ghost' (Voltage Pictures) where she starred alongside Nicolas Cage, 'Jigsaw' (Tricycle Productions), 'Flashpoint' (Pink Sky), 'Bleed With Me' (BWM Productions) & 'Bloodthirsty' (Voice Pictures/775 Productions) a two-time Canadian Screen Award-nominated feature that is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, in which Beatty also sang all lead vocals. Her performance in 'The Last Day', a short film she both wrote and acted in, awarded her Best Actress at the Toronto 48hr Film Festival 2019, and her work has been written about in Variety, Hollywood Reporter, The New York Times, Indiewire and The Guardian.
