Mini Bio (1)

Kim Albright is an award winning Canadian-British, half Filipino writer/director.

Dragonfly (2007), Edward's Turmoil (2009), Albatross (2011) and The Purple Plain (2016), were all supported by Film London and the British Film Institute (BFI). Her films have won awards and competed worldwide at festivals including Encounters Film Festival, British Independent Film Festival, Oscar Qualifying Atlanta Film Festival, and the BFI London Film Festival. Kim has featured in the BFI's 'Upshot' programme, 'showcasing the most exciting emerging UK filmmaking talent'.

'Edward's Turmoil' screened at Encounters Film Festival, Leeds International Film Festival, Wisconsin Film Festival, InterBerlin Film Festival, Independent British Film Festival, Brussels Short Film Festival, and Prague Short Film Festival.
'Dragonfly' screened at BFI London Film Festival, Brest Film Festival, and BFI 'Upshot' Festival showcase of New British Talent.
The young lead of 'Edward's Turmoil' Raphael Coleman won Young Actor Award at the Independent British Film Festival, and Best Young Actor Award at the Brussels Short Film Festival.
